In 2002 an injury to Duncan Ferguson allowed a 16 year old Wayne Rooney to start against Tottenham Hotspur, he to most people he at the time was just a fairly promising youngster. They wanted to play him at 15 but couldnt because of the FA. He never went to play on loan in League 1 or the Championship, boom right in and scoring.

Ritchie is currently our most exciting young prospect, he's 18 soon to be 19, and he's a no10, I proposed he play in a dual no10 formation, the same one SS used to get Plymouth promoted. To top it off, he's in good goal scoring form right now. Not forgetting he's already played and scored for us against a league 2 team in the cup.

You dont rate him to start because he's not coming from a Championship or PL team, if he was you'd be hailing him as the second coming. Nasty bias some fans have against our own B and Youth team players.

You fell over in the first sentence there, there was a huge amount of hype around Rooney

I'm not bias at all, love it when a player comes through

He might have a Zac Clough impact for all I know

But of All the things we've tried recently and he's not even made it in the bench

I just don't think he's the answer to our problems or likely to start a league game anyone soon

So pass me the crack pipe

Skippy #3 has acclimatised quickly I see 😊

I haven’ta clue how it will pan out, but we’re building this up way too much. Yes, it’s their cup final, yes I hate the pricks with a passion, but it’s 3 points out of 63 left to play for.

Stay safe folks COYWM

3-2-1-2-2

We’ll shit um

532 sounds far less like he’s completely lost the plot 🤣

I’d go with 4-3-3 Gale and Dubbery opposite flanks, Burstow up top

The time to put this dreadful set of results behind us is now, it’s time to put these twats to the sword and get our season back on track and get everyone back fully on board. COYFWM

Dalby and Burstow up top 😉

So the new system is three centre backs, Conway and Desond as wingbacks Sheehan holding the two wingers wide but tracking back..........Are these still inverted?   Dalby and Burstow up top

Sounds like the same team but disorganised and dis jointed ......A shit show

This match is nothing to do with which division we're in next year, IMO.

That's like saying if we don't go up the 4-0 win may as well not have happened.  But that was the best memory of watching Bolton in 2025 by some distance (winner at Huddersfield the best minute).

If every season was only ever about promotion, there's a lot of pointless matches.

Taking points off Wigan isn't even in the same universe as getting promoted. So the main job is beating the 15th best team in League One and getting back on track. It's a brilliant opportunity to get some confidence back before a much tougher game on Tuesday. There's zero satisfaction in taking a point here if the top teams are further ahead of us by 5pm.

To be honest, the 4-1 will be a pretty flat memory if we don't go up. The feeling will be less 'how good was that?' and more 'where the fuck did that team go?'.

They’re absolutely nothing to fear, and the memories of the last two games against them should dispel all of those previous humiliations.

Play sharp, keep it simple and get early balls in to the box (especially with a front two) and we’ll win.

I think we may get a couple of penalties today ... They are like buses ... You wait ages for one to come and then two come along at once

Whose our penalty taker ?

The problem is we don’t play sharp nor get early balls into the box nor usually have a front two. If we can fix all that today we’ll trash these numpties so let’s hope Schu changes things?

Was more out of hope and a vain attempt at positivity
