deeane Koontz Posted January 17 Posted January 17 2 up top. Conway getting some crosses in with the old left peg. Forino getting his head on everything. We'll dick em. Quote

boltonboris Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Is this a 3-4-3 formation, or a 3-4-1-2? It feels a little lightweight in certain areas and also feels like he’s just desperately trying new things in order to stumble upon a formula Ultimately it’s up to the players to compete Quote

Ani Posted January 17 Posted January 17 If we can get the wing backs forward all will be fine. If they have to defend might not be great ! Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Long balls from the back and let’s see Burstow and Dalby rough them up and make mistakes for ACD to capitalise on Quote

Yeah this is absolutely the key with a back 5. They have to provide the width and some crosses, if they do then we’ll beat them. Quote

It’ll be a 3 with the ball and a 5 without. I suppose it’s flexible. You could have ACD and Burstow either side of Dalby, or a front two with ACD behind.. quite easy to change Im a little nervous about how solid we’ll be out of possession, or on transitions. Sheehan could end up with a couple of bookings Quote

So the main job is beating the 15th best team in League One and getting back on track. It's a brilliant opportunity to get some confidence back before a much tougher game on Tuesday. There's zero satisfaction in taking a point here if the top teams are further ahead of us by 5pm. To be honest, the 4-1 will be a pretty flat memory if we don't go up. The feeling will be less 'how good was that?' and more 'where the fuck did that team go?'. I didn't say it was. Its not one or the other, but we didn't go up last season and the two results still resonate, fans of both clubs still refer to them, along with the 4-1 this season as memorable games, for or against. The Forino winner is a great memory, if you didn't enjoy that because we didn't go up, virtually every season must be miserable. If we go up the memories will be created by critical games at the end of the season, because we'll need to go on a great run to achieve it. Its not all about the end position, football seasons create memories whatever happens in May. I couldn't tell you what position we finished the seasons we won at Man U or even Blackburn. Quote
