there was only about 250 of us there it was a night match and one of the last 5 matches of the season

and we had to win them all to be in a realistic chance of going up brilliant when Phil Brown scored the winner in the last minute :D/

Too young for me but my dad always said the turn out at that Huddersfield game in the '70s was massive, he never saw as many Whites away as that day.

I missed Hull away in '91 & still regret it. :-({|=

I think you are on about a 1-0 win at Hudderfield with Reidy scoring the winner? Bolton filled around two and a half sides of the ground that day. Bumped into Mike Summerbee near the ground who said 'I'm here to watch a decent team for a change' I assumed he meant us!

Fond memories of Port Vale away; Mansfield away etc. in them times. BWFC used to take these places over and create fantastic atmospheres.

Any of you lads remember Selwyn Froggitt (Bill Maynard) being at many games around that time to watch Frank Worthy play?

i'm sure when we got dicked 5-0 at sheff wed in prem, there were around 7 or 8 thousand...

they had to open another section for all the pay on the day'ers...

I went in the nearest pub to the ground at half-time and there must have been half of our away in there :D

Yes him and Franky were best mates and he was often seen at Burnden

as was Len Fairclough

I agree with all the selections above and add Grimsby. First match of season for two consecutive years. The fun we had . . . Getting the Munich f??cker thrown out stands out.

might be wide of the mark here but having been at the game I'm pretty sure that there were between 16000 and 18000 whites in a crowd of over 24000. There were over 120 coaches in the car park
