HomerJay Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 as already mentioned, diouf away a brum, but maybe im blinded by the bolton influence though.
Yossi Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 That would be a young French winger, playing for Brest against Toulon, circa 1991. The game was at Toulon, I went whilst I was holiday in Frejus. He absolutely ran the show, scoring once and setting up the other in a 2-1 victory for the away team. At the time the name meant nothing to me, though he later became quite famous and plied is trade in England. Any guesses?

enzo gambaro Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 David Ginola Easy now, Sluffy, but he played for both clubs!
jimmyjoojar Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Very good One of his first league games in England was against us at Burnden, he looked v good that night. Had Greeny in spin all evening!!
enzo gambaro Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Dejan Savicevic in Milan's 4-0 Champions League Final demolition of Barcelona in 1994.
jayjayoghani Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Dejan Savicevic in Milan's 4-0 Champions League Final demolition of Barcelona in 1994. I was going to say Desailly in that very same game. Faye against Arsenal type of performance. He played centre midfield I think because of injuries. Barcelona were actually hot favourites to win too.
marple whites Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Me, the Dale primary School 1985. Scored 4 goals at lunchtime and lost the ball under the Annex. Second rate school the Dale, Rose Hill every day of the week !!
Doctor Tongue Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 as already mentioned, diouf away a brum, but maybe im blinded by the bolton influence though. Great call. Diouff was absolutely outstanding that day. Terry Butcher that time he played for England (European Qualifier I think) and he was drenched in Blood. Dont see that kind of passion from our current crew.
The True Marple White Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 For me it has to be leicester at home and being 2-0 down and down to 9 men! How we ever came back to 2-2 I will never know - sheer class that game! Happy memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Henrick_Pedigol Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Djorkaeff away against Charlton, scoring a brace - his first goals for the club

bolty58 Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 The King dancing through the mud at Southampton in the cupThe King and his hattrick against Stoke on that Sunday The King scoring the winner against Boro at Easter He was a true legend. So was McGinlay, Worthington etc. but I doubt anyone would ever match JB for his antics. Still laugh now at some of his classics - driving the Warbys van in the close season; dropping bricks on his foot ,moonlighting as an hod carrier; the JB shuffle. They don't make em like him any more
bolton in bedford Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Wayne Jacob's performance for Bradford against us in the cup.
Mounts Kipper Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 the diouf performance away at brum was as good a performance as I have seen, also david lee at liverpool in the cup at anfield where he was unplayable.
