SatanGreavsie Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Slutf?rhandlingarna has begun. what a superb sentence! Very mysterious
Mounts Kipper Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 realistically, after the signing of Elamander, we should be looking at a creative mid fielder, a right winger, and another striker but only is Dioufy goes, we dont need 2 more defenders Pie in the sky, but would love to have Shaun Wright Phillips on the right, even if it was a loan deal.
Tubster Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Signed him just been on sky sports news now undisclosed fee apparently ?10mil

Sluffy Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Just like to say thanks to Tylswhite for once again keeping us all 'in the know'.
tylswhite Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 Just like to say thanks to Tylswhite for once again keeping us all 'in the know'. Thats ok, im just glad to pass on good news! Lets hope this shuts up a few of the moaners!! Roll on the new season
Mounts Kipper Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 You have to admire te way Mgson is going about his business, he identifies his target, gets the negotiating done quickly and proffesionally and then sign the player with a minimum of fuss.

He also hasn't been touting names to the press. Also from what Muamba and Taylor said he must have something going on behind the scenes that the players like.
jolly-olly Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Hope he is better than the last Swede we had. Wonder what his bird looks like

Sweep Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I must admit, I'm suprised it's only a 3 year deal for that amount of money
exiledwhite2 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I must admit, I'm suprised it's only a 3 year deal for that amount of money Yeah... but I suspect as someone said on here the other day, ?10m is the new ?5m etc etc This new TV money has given everyone a big wedge to spend Anyway I've raised doubts about his value for the price but now he's signed, I'm more than happy and kudos to Megson for the way he goes about his transfer dealings And I get the impression he buys square pegs for square holes, Taylor certainly was bought with set pieces / delivery in mind and it worked a treat towards the end of the season Better than Lee buying everything that moved with no idea how he was gonna use them Couple more signings and we've a good season to look forward to, bring it on
Hutch Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Can't comment until I've seen him play live for 10 games I like the Youtube footage though. Nothing wrong with being physical and having no pace - Al Shearer was the same. The 'wippets' like Saha/Owen only manage about 10 games a season anyhow. We may get back to being the top thugs like we were 4 years ago I'd echo what other posters have said, Megson hasn't shouted his mouth off until we have got someone. He was under real pressure during January, but kept professional. He hadn't reckoned on Tylswhite being the WW man on the inside though

tyldesley_white Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Let's all just wait and see, shall we? Traf, I'm all for that
