Gumbo Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Whilst in the fanzone last sunday the team to face city was read out! All the team got a little cheer apart from Gavin Mccann who got a boo off some supporters I dont quite understand this as when viewing his all round game he has been one of the better players in the squad over the last couple of years and has had a huge positive contribution in many games! and i wont appologize that he doesnt woo the crowd, its not his job!

McCann has done fine for us . Anyone who boos him or Nolan is not fit to support BWFC, and deserves someone putting them straight
djorkaeff Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Does anybody know the lad who read the team out ?
HR Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 The only Gavin that ever deserved booing was Mark Gavin. He was gay and shit at football.
jeep Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Does anybody know the lad who read the team out ? He was a representitive of Tower FM. Oh, and he was/is a nobber........
Football Genius Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Was a few boos when his name was read out today, nob heads.
Eddie Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Was a few boos when his name was read out today, nob heads. Played well again as well. Cleared everything up and gave good protection to the back four, I don't understand the booing.
The True Marple White Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I don't know why people booed him in the first place. In my eye always been a good signing.................he had bloody big boots to fill following Campo and Hierro. Done a good job!
Burndens Bogs Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I just can't get my head round the mentality of "fans" who boo our own players, it's counterproductive and achieves sweet FA
chief wiggum Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Played well again as well. Cleared everything up and gave good protection to the back four, I don't understand the booing. Outstanding today, and has been pretty good all season. Anybody booing one of our players before or during a game is a mongtard of the highest order.
Doctor Tongue Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 The only Gavin that ever deserved booing was Mark Gavin. He was gay and shit at football. Now I dont know about his sexual preferences - but Mr Gavin (at the time) was not a shite footballer. His goal at home to Gillingham (won 3-0) is still one of the best I've seen.
Mounts Kipper Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 After a dodgy first season Mcann has been very consistent this season, I said he was the best player on the pitch at chorley preseason, when the midfiled consisted of obrien/macann/nolan/muamba he did not show his true worth, now he has been given the shielding role he has looked far more accomplished.
Fengshui Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Can anyone tell me what the fook is up with his head? He looks like big bird has just wiped it's arse on him before he comes out?
Bigtoe Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Can anyone tell me what the fook is up with his head? He looks like big bird has just wiped it's arse on him before he comes out? I thought he moonlights as a painter and decorator but he's not so good on ceilings
MickyD Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I just can't get my head round the mentality of "fans" who boo our own players, it's counterproductive and achieves sweet FA I'd hazard a guess, and it really is only a guess, but those are probably the very fans who the club are encouraging to attend; the ones who jumped on the Premier League bandwagon; the ones who'll be nowhere to be seen if we were ever relegated; the ones who bought up all the tickets for the big cup ties thus ensuring that more deserving fans couldn't attend; the ones who claim as their right, as they pay their money, that they are thus entitled to boo whoever and whenever they please; the ones who tell folk to sit down; are the ones booing their own players.
Carlos Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 You are wrong Michael, it was probably worse in the lower leagues. Trevor Morgan was the target in Division 4 in front of 4,000 fans.
Horwich Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I'd hazard a guess, and it really is only a guess, but those are probably the very fans who the club are encouraging to attend; the ones who jumped on the Premier League bandwagon; the ones who'll be nowhere to be seen if we were ever relegated; the ones who bought up all the tickets for the big cup ties thus ensuring that more deserving fans couldn't attend; the ones who claim as their right, as they pay their money, that they are thus entitled to boo whoever and whenever they please; the ones who tell folk to sit down; are the ones booing their own players. Good post
