Anyone who's seen the footage of the touchline interview with him prior to the game can be in no doubt that he honestly does believe that women don't understand the offside rule. Do you honestly think Sky would have sacked him for a bit of a light-hearted banter? They would have asked him to apologise and that would have been that. He's obviously got previous which is why they've binned him. While we're at it, i'm not sure why 'her position has become untennable'. Did she complain? Did she ask Sky to fire him? Or is it because you share Andy Gray's views? He's got no one to blame but himself.

If i started spouting on about how the female engineers in the office can't do their job i should expect to be sacked (i work for the council so would be sent for anti discrimination training).

I'm not arguing about whether the rules are right or not, just that those are the rules. I read an article t'other week saying that white middle class middle aged males are the most descriminated against by the system. They can't access medical support like GP's as they work 40 odd hour weeks and all while the GP's are open, if they get made redundant there's feck all support out there helping them find work again. there were other cases put forward too.

I couldn't put it any better myself, he is bloody awful, and is wrong on so many occasions it's untrue, and very rarely does he ever admit it. I'm glad he's been sacked, because I think he's a cunt. I am amazed that we was paid ?1.7M* per year though just to talk about football - that's outrageous! (* that was the figure quoted on the radio today, I don't know how true it is)
