Remember it well Big win that after a bad run at the start of the season Lunch time kick off on a Sunday, watched down the pub, a result that restored confidence and gave me the courage to do some top level Sunday afternoon boozing without concern for the consequences

That goal against Leicester where he just mowed down the defender who tried to tackle him was beautiful

Quit my A-levels the following Monday so I could earn money in the week and watch Bolton at the weekend. So I'm blaming Rod Wallace for me having trench foot as this moment in time. I had a similar attitude when Leigh RL got promoted to Super League in 2004. Wagged college on the Monday with a hangover from the Grand Final on the Sunday, quit A levels on Tuesday, started full time work Wednesday. I finished uni just before Euro 2004 and still had another few weeks left on my contract at my halls up Oxford Road. That was an ace summer, no pressure, no stress. Another one I was convinced we were going to win!
