From when we beat West Ham every week !

But the one Time the Ginger Mourinho got his tactics perfect !

Remember it well

Big win that after a bad run at the start of the season

Lunch time kick off on a Sunday, watched down the pub, a result that restored confidence and gave me the courage to do some top level Sunday afternoon boozing without concern for the consequences

He was some finisher that lad. Shame how his career nosedived after us.

Finished a few big dinners after he left us, the fat wife-beating cunt.

Indeed it is.

Scored at Blackburn the day I walked out of my Saturday job at JJB to go to.

Quit my A-levels the following Monday so I could earn money in the week and watch Bolton at the weekend.

So I'm blaming Rod Wallace for me having trench foot as this moment in time.

I had a similar attitude when Leigh RL got promoted to Super League in 2004. Wagged college on the Monday with a hangover from the Grand Final on the Sunday, quit A levels on Tuesday, started full time work Wednesday.

Early 2000s football was just better wasn't it 😀

That was my prime in terms of going to as many games as possible home and away

Finished uni in 99, got a decent wage and a car

Absolutely no other cares in the world other than who we were playing next and if it was a decent night out

Probably the last few years of "prime" World Cup and Euros too before every match at every tournament started looking exactly the same.

I finished uni just before Euro 2004 and still had another few weeks left on my contract at my halls up Oxford Road. That was an ace summer, no pressure, no stress. Another one I was convinced we were going to win!
