Superb find!! Obviously I’d love my Dad to be still alive (sadly at 105 it would be wishful thinking) but it’s stuff like this that rings so many bells about stuff he told me By 1945 he’d be

The Bradford match I remember, but I can't for the life remember why I was in the home seats in the main stand

All the best intentions out of the window when we bagged so early

Me and my mate must have been in front of you, as we kept stum until we heard the noise behind, then we were up as well, figured you older lads would look after us 😉

Can see you lot leaping up after first two goals.

Was on a sunday afternoon iirc.

On sky wasn’t it

Season before I got proper into it. Was only seven at the time (my one game that season was the only home loss; 1-2 against Ipswich) 🤦‍♂️

My dad bought me a season ticket the year after, and I got the ‘96/97 100 goals’ VHS for Christmas in 97.

Anyway, I watched that video religiously. Bolton fans can be seen jumping in every home stand from what I can recall.

Gutted that I missed out, and in a way, despite us always having good support and unforgettable Euro aways, I’ve always thought our following looked a step-above from that season in particular.

I might well be enjoying my football more than ever lately, and it’s been helped by dragging my nephew along (who finally caught the bug while watching us behind closed doors last season!), but our support is standing taller than ever in my 25 years as a full-fledged Wanderer.

Outside United/City/Liverpool/Everton I refuse to believe there’s a better supported club than us in the NW right now.

you got a meat and potato pie on the back of your head, must of been hot as i think it was the start of your bald patch.......

They were happy days

Bolton v Plymouth from the 1992/93 promotion season and future Wanderer Peter Shilton in goal for Plymouth .

A sad one for me being the last game at Burnden I went to with my Dad .

No, 4-2 was definitely a Saturday in 96

The Sunday game was a 2-2 draw on sky early in the 98 season

Went to the Sunday sky game, ko at 12, rocked up in bradford about 10am looking for a pint

Stumbled across a working mens club opposite a police station where you could get in round the back

It was clear most people in there had been in there since Saturday

Ah yeah you're right, it was pissing down too.

Think that streak of piss who played for Tranmere scored.

Looking for Stephen Hawking’s vlog after Madrid, I found this Soccer Saturday clip from when Birmingham survived with an injury time equaliser at the Reebok. As Jeff Stelling reports after the news of Birmingham’s leveller, it was Doncaster who were sent down. I wonder if their vitriol following our postponed game and the sulking from Doncaster since then, if their bitterness was a result of this game.

That really annoyed me that game, we should have seen them off and sent them down.

Enjoyed listening to that, loved it when Evatt unsolicited jumped in about junior whites and visiting schools as a priority.  Full marks to the Trust & the club for making it happen.

I thought it was typical Supporters Trust Vanilla.

Any one of us on here could have guessed at least 90% of the responses given.

Any excuse to post this again. Even though it looks good on the video it still doesn't do justice to how wild they actually went after that goal. Fair play to um.

Always surpises me how quick they all get in tune.

I agree on the "arrogant" comment however he did also make some good points and was less uppity as the event progressed ( I liked his response to the admin charges which seem to surprise him) the free ticket question would have been a good one to raise, that is why events like this are an excellent conduit to get to the decision makers, sadly some folk cant get their head round the fact that its organised via the ST. Perhaps you have a direct line to the club to make the point but most folk don't.
