I was in the open end with the wanderers fans , but drove from Nottingham with my mate who was a baggies season ticket holder. We had a pint with one of my other baggies mates in a hotel near the motorway . Wanderers players were relaxing playing pool in a private room . " You're not boinging anymore ...You're not boinging anymore' was a popular chant after mcateer scored Quote

Was only seven at the time (my one game that season was the only home loss; 1-2 against Ipswich) 🤦♂️ My dad bought me a season ticket the year after, and I got the ‘96/97 100 goals’ VHS for Christmas in 97. Anyway, I watched that video religiously. Bolton fans can be seen jumping in every home stand from what I can recall. Gutted that I missed out, and in a way, despite us always having good support and unforgettable Euro aways, I’ve always thought our following looked a step-above from that season in particular. I might well be enjoying my football more than ever lately, and it’s been helped by dragging my nephew along (who finally caught the bug while watching us behind closed doors last season!), but our support is standing taller than ever in my 25 years as a full-fledged Wanderer. Outside United/City/Liverpool/Everton I refuse to believe there’s a better supported club than us in the NW right now. Quote

dusan nikolic Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Bolton v Plymouth from the 1992/93 promotion season and future Wanderer Peter Shilton in goal for Plymouth . A sad one for me being the last game at Burnden I went to with my Dad . Quote

Zico Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Went to the Sunday sky game, ko at 12, rocked up in bradford about 10am looking for a pint Stumbled across a working mens club opposite a police station where you could get in round the back It was clear most people in there had been in there since Saturday Quote

MickyD Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Looking for Stephen Hawking’s vlog after Madrid, I found this Soccer Saturday clip from when Birmingham survived with an injury time equaliser at the Reebok. As Jeff Stelling reports after the news of Birmingham’s leveller, it was Doncaster who were sent down. I wonder if their vitriol following our postponed game and the sulking from Doncaster since then, if their bitterness was a result of this game. Quote

That really annoyed me that game, we should have seen them off and sent them down. Quote

Even though it looks good on the video it still doesn't do justice to how wild they actually went after that goal. Fair play to um. Quote
