The value of a player is the same as the value of your house ..... it's what someone is willing to pay at the time you want to sell. No more, no less. No point comparing what someone else got for their house down the road.

We might think Cahill is worth ?20m, but (as far as we know) no club has offered remotely near that amount even though GC has been up for sale for months & months. Plus (if true) he walks for free in 12 months, and there's no sign he wants to sign a new contract (surely BW would have offered him a new contract before it got to the last 12 months ...... wouldn't they ?!?!).

Fans judging the value of rumoured bids are taking all that into account ........ it's not about 'neg heads'.

Yep definitely a deadline needs to be set - 10 days before the window shuts I suggest. Anything later I'd think would be too late to replace him.... Saying that if anyone waves ?10-15m on deadline day I'd expect phil would take it.

Fuck the loan off and sign the lad! City have no place for him. if Gary goes we will have funds in the bank to make a sensible offer. Get him in on long term deal so at least we don't have a similar issue when he has half a good season with us and the powers that be put him in shop window we can get a true value of the player instead of pimping the lad about and ultimately settling!

Yeah, I have too admit i agree, If most players had the offer of CL, or nothing at all, i reckon i no what they would go for.

my view is that wherever he ends up,the majority of us will want to see the lad do well, he would be a top player for liverpool, who have the best team they have had for years,possibly missing the centre half of a cahill,
