:D :good: Selling club!

They already are! Just don't like spending any of it! I reckon that OC doesn't fancy the Bendtner part of any deal, because it values him too highly and restricts the funds earmarked for other deals.

I think Bendtner could be a cracking player for us.

He's probably never going to quite make it at Arsenal but he strikes me as the sort who would thrive on being a big fish in a small pond. He isn't short of ability, he's scored in the World Cup and he has a Champions League hat trick to his name (against Porto).

If the rumours about him plus ?8m for Cahill are true, I reckon that represents good value. We desperately need a striker and we're unlikely to get one as good as him for ?9m.

Bendtner is OK, not much more

but then, so are we

Match made in heaven

I have to agree. I reckon he would get 15 goals plus if he played for us and started every game.

Sounds like a reasonably well made-up rumour.

We can't afford his wages.

His ego isn't going to come to Bolton.

Some of the Arse reserves mentioned are more credible.

But regarding the actual point, yes, if we could afford his wages and if he would be willing to come here, he would be good business.

I can just imagine his missus in the swan on a satdy neet

?14m and Landsbury would do for me, thank you very much!

I'd be happy enough with Bendtner - he'd def score at least 10 goals a season for us and has experience

on the basis that most of us seem to think if players were any good, they wouldn't play for us (if muamba could pass, if klasnic could stay fit etc they'd be elsewhere) I'd say he's more than good enough for us

Liking that Chelsea link, should push on Arsenal to deal at the right price if there's any truth in it.

So, in summary:-

Luiz may be off to Madrid, therefore Chelsea might want to sign a replacement CB.

There has been talk of Dann and Cahill leaving their clubs this summer.

... therefore Chelsea might want to sign one of them.

I hate the term "lazy journalism" but in this case I think it couldn't be more apt.

...and to think, some fucker's been paid for writing that article.

if that in anyway meant we could get Sturridge permanently we should be all over it

but I can't imagine them selling David Luiz so it's a non starter for me

and is Scott Dann really any good? (I imagine other teams ask the same about Cahill mind)

Cahill has played for England (and looked pretty comfortable making the step-up). Dann hasn't.

Cahill might (not necessarily correctly) be seemed as less of a risk and more liekly to be able to adapt playing at a higher level.

Coyle should have been saying this from the end of the season rather than touting him to everyman and his dog

Interesting comment about Bendtner - maybe Coyle would be interested in him if offered

I hope not, a clumsy player who reminds me of Kevin Davies with a bit more pace.Poor first touch, poor finisher.Whenever we play Arsenal I hope Bendtner is playing which says it all.

and how many Champions leagues hat tricks does Kevin have

If he had Arsenal's midfield behind him I don't doubt he'd have put 3 of his 20 chances in one night.

I can imagine the conversations - "how much do you want for Cahill?", "17 million", "OK, bye".

views of an arsenal fan on Bendtner

Ok picture this. A young English centre forward (6 foot 4 powerhouse) is coming through the ranks at a top four club, he goes out on loan to a championship side at the age of 18 and scores 12 goals in 40 league games and wins the clubs player of the season award.

He then returns to his parent club and starts playing as an impact sub, scoring some crucial goals. Aged 21 he is given a run of 15 games in the first team and scores 11 goals (including 2 last minute winners keeping his team in the title race) but doesn't have quite the same impact when playing as a lone striker against 3 of the other big four teams. He scores in the second leg against a European powerhouse in the Champions league, putting his team ahead in the tie, although they eventually go out.

He then spends a frustrating year niggled with injuries, only starting 3 league games, being inexplicably played on the wing putting in crosses for sub 6 footers and somehow he still manages to score crucial goals in the carling cup and FA cup, although he fluffs his chance in the champions league having only been on the pitch for 5 minutes.

Imagine what the papers would be saying about this kid. He'd be the next big thing, the saviour of England, and lets not forget that big, target man style centre forwards don't tend to blossom until their very late 20s (See Drogba). This kid would be an absolute superstar.

Now imagine he's Danish and his name is Nicklas Bendtner.

I'm just saying, he's not the clown people make him out to be.

If Bendtner signed for us he would be best striker we have by a country mile and if he started every match would get 10 goals minimum in PL. Too many people beleive he is shit because hes not a fancy Dan that fits in at Arsenal.

He'd be second on the list of "Players-who-could-form-a-team-you'd-like-to-be-playing-against XI"

Titus Bramble would be the first name on the teamsheet though.
