Depends on your definition of defending. Robbo got back but decided to back of obertan and let him cross it. Ba got there ahead of cahill. Alan shearer's comment on motd re that incident was "i'm not quite sure what robinson is doing there", or words to that effect.

Collectively we're very poor defensively and all of them are responsible for that but his individual errors are costing us goals regularly he should be dropped and stay dropped it's not his fault he gets picked like but it's getting to "anyone but him" stage ditto boyata at right back

He shouldn't be above criticism just because he's our only available option.

 

When we restarted yesterday the first thing Robbo did was slice it out for a throw in.

 

We got away with that until a few seconds later when he got the ball and gave it back to them.

 

Then he failed to get anything like tight enough on Obertan, and it was game over.

 

I'm fucked if I'm forgiving that because he tries.

The biggest problem are both full backs, no matter who plays there cannot prevent continuous crosses into the box. Because of injuries coyles hands are firmly tied, he has tried to address the situation and gave alonso his chance, unfortunately he had to revert to Robinson.

Robinson is a pub player, I'm sorry but I could do a better job and I would only want ?300 a week. He's never in position to slow and blames everyone but himself, the worst player I have ever seen. How many goals have we conceded this season because of that clown/prick, I'd give a youth player a chance in the next game because he cant be any worse.
