burndenpaddock Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I am just staggered by his recovery. I'm not a religious person but I genuinely believe, with the chain of events, a heart specialist in the ground etc, that fabrice is blessed and we are very very lucky that he is still with us. I have been an emotional reck this week and can't wait to have a massive release at the reebok on Saturday. I just hope that the players feel the same as the fans and Saturday doesn't end in disappointment Quote
Moderators Zico Posted March 21, 2012 Moderators Posted March 21, 2012 Youri wore 6, didn't he? yep, and his music career coincidentally died on it's arse Quote

Didledee Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 78 minutes seems a long time, how long do doctors continue before they say they've done/tried all they could? It's amazing to think that after so long of failed attempts to bring him back to life, it started again almost after a hour n' half, I never thought someone could be 'gone' for that long and suddenly come back alive. Burndens Bogs Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Muamba is a Wanderer, he wears a Wanderers top and when he played for Bolton, his heart IT REALLY STOPPED, he went to see Nat Lofthouse, but lofty sent him back, cause Muamba is a Wanderer, who loves the Wanderers Top.................... Just made it a bit more accurate. Like it though Ryan.....like it a lot. Quote

Although he was 'gone' the quality of the CPR, in effect, keeps the body going by artificially keeping blood pumping around the body and providing oxygen. They do it to give them time to get him to the hospital where further action can be taken. I'm sure someone said earlier that they keep going until everyone in the team performing the CPR agrees to stop. It was the quick and high quality help that has got him where he is now and hopefully continuing on the road to recovery. The medical where nothing short of outstanding. Quote

Site Supporter MickyD Posted March 21, 2012 Site Supporter Posted March 21, 2012 Stolen from Twitter. #Fabfacts Death just had a near-Muamba experience. Fabrice Muamba questions the need to stop a game for a cardiac arrest fabrice Muamba doesn't do press ups. He pushes the world away and pulls it back up again. Quote
KP Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 For the first time in my life I will genuinely be looking out for the Spurs result tonight. Quote
DIPS Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Just saw the interview with the DR, he was only there as his son gave up his ticket and he took them up. So glad he did. We've been blessed by good grace, (Sorry if it's already been said) Quote

BL2wanderer Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Its been an emotional roller coaster since Saturday. Very hard to find the right words, even now. I'm sure very few of us who watched the events unfold on Saturday night thought Fabrice would have survived. The heroes who helped save his life are able to talk about it now and so can Fabrice. The way the club and everyone involved in the events on Saturday night have conducted themselves has been exemplary. Proud to be a Wanderer for over 40 years and proud to have met Fabrice on several occasions, he is one hell of a guy! get well soon! Just watched the doctor interviews on the bbc football web site, if you haven't watched them already I would recommend you do, unbelievable. Quote
