Spider Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Neice just back from Switzerland should have been skiiing, but it was 16c Whether you believe in climate change or not, the weather is certainly getting warmer, and whilst that’s pleasant for folks who like to drink fosters on patio furniture, it has considerable downsides. Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Yes indeed. Solstice denotes shortest day. Doesn't mean that sunrise is automatically earlier afterwards, just sun sets later. Quote

On the down side, sunset in Bolton today is 16:03, and here it's 16:02, so it get's darker here a whole minute earlier than up there Quote

Can't be arsed having a look. Quote

One long walk is weirdly much more pleasant than 2 or 3 shorter ones each with a different hound. Think it's the coming in, dripping everywhere and going out again. We're having a poly tunnel delivered today, but won't be putting it up yet. Soil is like soup in the garden. Forecast is atrocious for the forthcoming week plus. Quote

Each to their own, great atmosphere all nationalities mixing pleasantries, also plenty of quieter of empty beaches close by for those who want to picnic in peace and quiet, coastal walk and followed by a little dip in a crystal clear med and 23c…. Know where I’d prefer to be. Quote
