Oh and of course Nicky Hunt actually was great until:

(Delete as appropriate)

He turned billy big time (a DJ for christ's sake)

The fans started on him because he's a local

He went shit

I don't and have never bought into that.

I'd say the fans 'started on him' because of the points immeadiately above and below, but mainly the point below.

Still can't believe Sam pulled off having Pederson at left back, i suppose theres no way of checking the win % when he played there.

I'm the only one that remembers Candela being a fat and slow fucker then?

Had a beer with him in a bar in Manchester and he was fatter than me

I think it's rose tinted glasses from folk, as he was very good elsewhere

Nope, mate.

If you trawl back through the site, everytime the Candela was wonderful tale gets told, I've said I wasn't impresssed.

ian Mully from the 80's still playing now I think for Wogdens over 40's :shiftyninja:

I cant forgive him for missing that sitter against Swansea. :)

Worst has to be Otsemobor.

And I raise you a John twitching shoulder o'kane

Last I saw of him was captaining Hyde about 5 years ago

Beat me to it, read the whole thread and was thinking fook me how shit was o'kane.

Saying that I don't remember us having a shitter 3 than Mears, alonso and ricketts to choose from.

Browny, Whitlow, Charlton, Ricky G, Neil Cox all great full backs for us.

Frank Passi

Gardner closely followed by Bazza Cowdrill. What about the old sabre tooth tiger Scott Green. GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENY...

Who's small?

Derek scott

Frank Passi

Did he play full back?

Syd farrimond

In all my time watching BWFC, we have very rarely had TWO decent full backs.

PS - I'm probably the only person on here that actually rated Tony Barness

To be fair, I started this thread thinking we've never been blessed in the full back areas, but there's plenty of names thrown up who were more than decent.

I played against Derek Scott just after he was retired from the pro game, and he wasn't very good if truth be told.

We're definitely struggling in the full back area at the moment. Sam Ricketts loss of form is the biggest surprise to me.

High hopes for Riley though.

Gerald Cid

Worldbeater

Vincent Candella. Promised so much, delivered so little.

I used to quite like Cox.

GO!

THAT goal against Villa, away, 3-1 (I thjnk)

I thought we were going to stay up after that.

bugsy burrows, basil cowdrill

and the legend that is ray deakinho

Anybody remember Barry Cowdrills goal that never was against Swindon....an absolute peach, and then dissallowed for a somewhat spurious offside decision I think

Yes, its on the video link someone has put up earlier on today. Phil Brown was stood in an offside position on the right wing, it was the days when if you were offside, you were offside - none of this interfereing with play bollocks.

Great goal it was too

472 yards from goal, he was.

And I was one of 50,000 who witnessed it.
