stevieb Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 For me the top three are: 1 - European Aways Guimaraes was my first, spending the afternoon speaking to wanderers and portuguese folk all over a little picturesque town whilst getting slaughtered on Superbock was great. 2 - A good cup run Despite the shocking finish to the season, our last cup run to the semi was great, so was getting to the final in 2004 and even winning a 3rd round tie in January you always think "this could be our year!" 3 - Having summat to play for on the last game of the season Whether it be relegation, promotion or a european place, its always good going into the last game knowing you can pull something out of the bag. (this is subject to change at 3pm on Saturday) Anymore for anymore? Quote
Biggish Dave Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 1) Away games in general, meeting up with the lads, a few beers and a good day out 2) Last minute winners - just like against Blackburn 3) Horrible teams being relegated - Wolves, Bury, Aldershot all made me chuckle this weekend, just waiting on Wigan now Quote
Guest Frandsen08 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 a 90th minute away winner. you just can't beat that feeling. Quote
jazza Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 The most enjoyable thing about football is the DeFreitas factor That feeling when the ball hits the back of the net when at that moment it's the most important thing in the World to you Better than any sex Quote
tomski Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Individual that second moments have been plentiful over the years. But chungys last min goal against brum meaning Wembley felt amazing. Probably had more memorable moments in other games but because of the timing, its the one that sticks out. Quote

Meeting likeminded twats who you call by their internet names and thinking nothing of it. ha ha this always makes me giggle! I'll throw in jumping up and down when a vital goal goes in with someone you have never met and then realising your now nowhere your seat Quote
EyesRight Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Getting the train from Leyland on an away day, picking up all the not rights on the way from Chorley, Adlington, Horwich, Lostock and Bolton then having a drink in the bar at Piccadilly before getting on the next train. I'm like a dog at the window looking to see how many Whites are getting on the train at each stop. That and last minute goals, Brighton and Blackburn this season stand out. Quote

Marc505 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 All of the above, and the day the fixtures come out. And those first couple of games where Winter starts to set in and its dark before full time, thinking of the coming months of piss ups and Winter clothing... before the novelty wears off that is. 5am get ups for Brighton away and New Years Eves in Leeds. Not really wanting this season to end! Quote
frank_spencer Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Last minute goals are always amazing and a feeling never replicated by anything else. Blackburn earlier in the season was mental. Watching an absolute thunderbastard fly into the back of the net where you find yourself applauding even if it's the opposition. a crunching tackle especially on someone like Ronaldo or Suarez where the tackler gets ball, man and a load of mud. tomski Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I used to love it when skd charged across the pitch for one of his sliding tackles, the full backs looked terrified. Quote
frank_spencer Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I used to love it when skd charged across the pitch for one of his sliding tackles, the full backs looked terrified. We knew it was coming, SKD knew it was coming and so did the full back that's what made em belting Quote
Eavesy Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Matty Taylor at stoke from a weiss cross. They walked off at half time and everyone was begging coyle to save us and get klasnic on Quote
miamiwhite Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Brannigan saving the penalty at Wembley. Every one in the ground knew we would win after that Quote
