anewman Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Don't understand why he brought Medo on when we were looking for an equaliser, Moritz must one unfit lad. His pass to Beckford at Tranmere was the quality that we were missing yesterday, and have done all season. Absolute no idea in the final 3rd cos hes coyle in a suit clueless Quote
HomerJay Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Medo brought on to get hold of the ball and to add legs to a tiring midfield? Quote
magic legs Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 We could do with a player like that Leeds no8 yesterday Austin. He was an absolute beast. Quote

That explains it, fair enough Quote
MickyD Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 But they must be extending to quickly in the warm up. It's the second time this season a player on the starting list has ducked out because they got injured warming up. Quote
Horwich Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Dougie wont play 442 as its "old fashioned" Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Dougie wont play 442 as its "old fashioned" When Medo came on it was 442 or was it supposed to be 4-2-4? Quote
Casino Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 When Medo came on it was 442 or was it supposed to be 4-2-4? do you actually watch the game or just sit there sticking pins in your dougie doll? we had 3 at the back Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 do you actually watch the game or just sit there sticking pins in your dougie doll? we had 3 at the back Did we? By then I was apoplectic, who'd the genius thrown up front from the back 4 ? He's worse than I thought is Freedman lets just fuck him off now and have done with it. Quote
Casino Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 he didn't throw anybody up front he replaced tierney with medo calm down man, it aint good at your age Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 he didn't throw anybody up front he replaced tierney with medo calm down man, it aint good at your age As Medo never went over the 1/2 way line he must have filled in at fullback, I've changed my mind Dougies a genius. Quote
Casino Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 heres me thinking his first kick was a shot from the edge of the box not a good shot, but a shot(ish) all the same actually, i agree with you, he should've put thingy, erm whatshisname, ermm, oh yeah, , shit, we haven't actually got that many options Quote
BoltonPro15 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I may be thinking into this too much but did Freedman take Knight off in an attempt to get the fans on his side? Its just that he could have brought him off for being shit in every other game this season but hasnt and he must know thats what the fans wanted? Just a thought. Quote
Casino Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 not a chance and if he did, i'd get shut of him this morning Quote

And before you say it we've not got the players i know, so why play it? Quote
cbwfcd Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I'm not one to start blaming individuals, but I'm putting 95% of the blame on Knight. WTF was he thinking putting that out for a corner (the first), it was like he was trying to prove a point to Bogdan that he had to do that because Bogdan didn't come for it. He should be dropped tomorrow for that alone. I thought the team that finished was better than the team that started, granted that Leeds were defending the lead, if we had our shooting boots on then we could have turned that around. Someone could do with buying the players some shooting boots too. The team is lacking confidence, there are signs that we are better that our position suggests, but we can't go on forever saying that, we need to start picking up results and fixing the problems quickly. Traf Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I'm not one to start blaming individuals, but I'm putting 95% of the blame on Knight. You're being a dick. Regardless of whether he should or shouldn't have put it out or not (the team does however seem to have been told to put it out if in doubt), it was the 6th fucking minute. Once the corner is given, we move on and defend the corner. We failed to do so and conceded another soft goal. we then had the thick end of 90 minutes to score. That time from the Leeds goal to the end of the game is the longest we've gone without conceding for quite a while. The problems are all over the pitch. Knight's an easy scapegoat/target. Quote
Carlos Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Had we dealt with that situation we may have been celebrating a 0-0 draw. Woohoo. Quote
Traf Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Had we dealt with that situation we may have been celebrating a 0-0 draw. Woohoo. We can only dream of a 0-0 draw. Eight months since the last one. Incidentally, we last kept a clean sheet on the 6th April, we've conceded 21 in the last 13 games since. Quote

Usually I'd agree that he's an easy target, but he should have put it out for a throw in, no way should that have ever been a corner, he had plenty of time to put it out, it looked to me that he did it on purpose to give him an excuse to shout at Bogdan. It wasn't a mistake, or a miskick, or a split second decision, it was calculated, negligent and unprofessional. The best way to defend a corner is to not give it away in the first place. I agree there are problems all over. When you away from home with a 1-0 lead you are going to try and defend it. Which made our job all that much harder, and we are not full of confidence and have a belief that we can turn games around. We looked better when Hall came on, he's the only one who will take a man on. Lee was useless, Eagles didn't look fit. Finishing let us down in the end. But Knight dug the hole that we were in by not doing his job properly in the 6th minute. Quote

Its just that he could have brought him off for being shit in every other game this season but hasnt and he must know thats what the fans wanted? Surely not starting him would have achieved that aim. The obvious thing to do would have been to take Ream off, but that would have left us two slowboats in the middle, without protection, and with extremely limited ability with a ball at their feet. If we go orthodox 4-4-2 as many want, that's Ream plus one. Without doubt. Quote
