Don't understand the unreserved seating when we could realistically sell 4000+. It reduces the number available by 10 to 15%

in the last few years we have only sold about 2000 tickets but taken 4000 with pay on the door, hence the fucking huge queues to get in.

No it does'nt, realistically we sell 4000, then 1000 turn up to pay on the day, sit where you want, get it now?

Last time I went to an unreserved that was close to a sell out was Huddersfield away last season, a year a go Exactly

It was a fucking fiasco and I told them

Ejected after 2 minutes, was back in manc before half time

The stand holds 5,400 so the 10% takes it down to just shy of 5,000. With all the will in the world it's not likely THAT many will walk up.

Would say folk are still best off buying a ticket, just in case.

Unreserved will be miles better, let's be honest we just do that at away games anyway so at least this avoids "you're sat in my seat" and all that crap.

Unreserved definitely the way to go, regarding BWFC walk up could be a couple of hundred but also known Bolton to have a big walk up for local games, can see the away end being rammed.

Problem will come if we end up shifting another 500 or so today and tomorrow and then the coppers might get a bit twitchy about pay on the day with only a finite amount of seats to play with.

People would probably just do home end then though, unless you need a booking history, so that would be worse.

I know Wigan have done this for games vs United etc in the past where they suspected there'd be away fans trying to get in the home end. Few plastic Latic mates of mine have been frustrated by it when they try to attend their one game a season

Can't understand the mentality of folk paying on the day when its unreserved seating anyway, what's going to change between now and Sunday that makes them suddenly decide to go?

Why treck upto the reebok to get a ticket when you can just pay on the gate?

As soon as the Bolton end sells out then it'll go to booking history only. Wigan are more than used to it to be fair, probably did it for 8-9 games last season with away ends selling out.

I meant more order it online when there was still time left for it to be delivered. No doubt folk have their reasons but it just seems odd to me

Bit worried, ordered an additional ticket online on Sunday...still not delivered. Looks like one of our lot may be stood outside. I think collection only to be safe

I won't know until Sunday morning if I can make it, so I'd need a walk up.

Worst comes to worst, I'll PM Smithills Gent for his Wigan booking reference and go in the home end.
