This isn't a new thing though. This has happened under numerous managers over the years, so you can't really hold that over Freedman. We may never be told. Well, that and the fact that you can't make other teams buy your players. As much as people want to make it so, you can't just "sell the player for X" whenever you want. Other clubs are business savvy too, and will know that we don't have much money and can't hold people ransom over the costs of our players. We had no issue selling players when we were in the Premier League because we had a decent income from TV and bigger crowds, and so we didn't need to sell to stay afloat.
