while giving the ball away doesn't help, we need to get the fcuker first

andrews created next to fcuk all in the time he was with us

we are not missing 'willing workers'

we're missing somebody who can do something a bit clever on occasion

somebody our centre halves can pass the ball too, without it coming straight back to them

i didn't mind andrews and hes obviously good enough for this level but he was another boo boy target (along with eagles fwiw)

the stick them two got at burnley last year was fcuking pathetic

it wasn't going to work even if freedman kept playing him

and i dunno what you base the last bit on

I meant he's a better player than Medo and would be better at retaining the ball than any of the other holding midfield players at club including spearing.

Makes no odds as the ball spends most of its time above their heads anyway.

If freedman wanted Andrews the club would pay for him,he won't be on much more than Beckford or sprearing, who aren't exactly on peanuts.

Dougie just doesn't rate him,and as manager that's his choice, fair enough.

25 games.

That's all Andrews has played for us.

If you're judging him on that, we might as well fuck most of the squad off now.

We do need/lack creativity, but I'd put KA in JS6's spot.

Former Newcastle and Sunderland striker Michael Chopra has been signed up to play for Sachin Tendulkar’s Kerala Blasters in the inaugural Indian Super League.

£10 on him being out first ball (ITK)

Super Mario to the reds

I would love this to happen, he is so over-rated, and would not put up with that cult 'YNWA' bullshite.

It would also take the spending past £100 million this season.

He's already got an account set up with Punjabi Power

this season though, they have only actually spent £22M or so with what they got for Suarez

around £7M less than you paid for Lukaku

which seems like good business

previously however, he has spunked a lot of cash

Eagles still without a club..? How we miss that creativity..

It does look like Eagles has shot himself in the foot with how a new deal was dealt with last season, going off what DF said recently

“We had a situation with Chris Eagles last summer – I don’t think it would have helped him mentally to offer a new contract.

I could probably have guessed the answer, so it might have been in our best interests to leave it"

So, sounds like DF wanted to keep him but didn't think he would want to stay, presumably he wanted the same money which I doubt he'd have been getting with us

towards the end of the season Eagles started banging on about wanting to stay

but by then DF had fucked him off out the squad and he's not rocked up anywhere else yet

guess he'll get another club if he asks for sensible money

either that or DF never had any intention of offering him a deal either way, so didn't

Ah the old net spend in your favour argument.

Well in that case we have spent nothing in 2 seasons.

They have not improved the team, squad yes. I would say their team is weaker, due to no Suarez.

Eagles was/is/will be shit. Discussion closed.

As my neutral mate pointed out

"He was the only one who looked like he had seen a football before"

course it's weaker, but it was also weak with him missing for 4 months, so selling then strengthening the squad is the right thing to do, because if they want to do as well in the league and progress in the CL this season they'd have to make the squad stronger, and not rely on an unreliable player

They have spent £100 million on players, to be weaker !

They are not the only ones, we have spent £27 million, to maintain what we had !

He explained: “I thought Keith Andrews was given the run around in the first half but, in the second half, I thought he was sensational.

“I don’t often say that about players but he was a Premier League player playing in the Championship in that second half.”

My mate said the same about Chris Eagles. Idiots like Tomski don't like him because he doesn't run round kicking people. They don't understand the value they bring to the team.

45 mins in about 2 years doesn't make him good though does it?
