mickbrown Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 There is a deal. Df did a twitter q&a at the start of last season. I asked him if there was a deal His reply was something like "i beleive there is a deal in place from the cahill transfer, but i dont like bringing in loan players as you improve them and then they return to their clubs. I would rather improve our own players." That's brilliant - made my day. The more I think about it the more I think we should keep him on. For comedy value if nowt else Quote
Guest Blixa Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 May Clayton now on trial at a Danish club. I wouldn't be surprised if BWFC had sent him there to force Crewe's hand about lowering their demands. Or am I being a bit too cynical? Quote
RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Giving the powers that be at BWFC far more credit than they deserve for tactical manoeuvres in the transfer market. Quote
passmosster Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Why would we need a 5ft 9in forward in Clayton when the ball is continuously blasted skywards from the back? If you want to play that way, you need a big lad up front. Quote

Or am I being a bit too cynical? Crossed my mind too, a small Danish club doesn't look his best destination. Perhaps they are being paid a transfer fee for taking him on a free. Quote
Garrp Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 No Matthew Benham owns both midtjylland and brentford Why would he help us? Quote
Traf Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 No Matthew Benham owns both midtjylland and brentford Why would he help us? Facts, Garreth? At 9am? You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Quote

If you want to play that way, you need a big lad up front. Or encourage your players to pass the ball on the ground and work harder to make space for the passes. Nah, too revolutionary. Quote
no balls Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Just less than 60 million for 1 player. Fuck off! Quote
Guest Blixa Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Just less than 60 million for 1 player. Fuck off! He would have been a 4 million player if we were selling him. ;-) Quote
Werder barmen Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Just seen frimpong is a free agent, only 22, replacement for spearing? Loves a red card though Quote
Traf Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 LH's finest suggested Frimpong to me last week. Quote
jules_darby Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 LH's finest suggested Frimpong to me last week.I thought that shit stopped when Coyle left? Quote
L/H White Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 LH's finest suggested Frimpong to me last week. Just what we need, a massive cunt to show some grit determination and passion Quote
frank_spencer Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Soccer am used to do a 'youve been frimpong'd' segment where they set him kicking folk in the air to one of his cousins (leethal bizzle?) tunes. If we can get some of that im all for it. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Jordan Ibe definitely off to Derby. Guessing if you had the choice based on current positions, anyone with any sense would do the same. Quote
jules_darby Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Jordan Ibe definitely off to Derby. Guessing if you had the choice based on current positions, anyone with any sense would do the same. It's not just that the player will make that choice; it's also the fact that the environment is likely to be better for development if things are positive so the loaning club is more likely to be positive about it Quote
jules_darby Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 On the loan front, apparently Patrick Bamford is about to join Boro on loan from Chelsea. Great Quote
jagermoot Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 He scored 17 goals on loan at mk dons last season, don't think he even played for them for a full season either Quote
scallywell Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 On the loan front, apparently Patrick Bamford is about to join Boro on loan from Chelsea. Great that's because there's no such loan deal with Bolton Quote
Horwich Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Ffs, DF confirmed this last year in twitter q&a Quote
jules_darby Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 that's because there's no such loan deal with Bolton Even if there's not, it's still another divisional rival strengthening is it not? Quote
Guest Blixa Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Interesting that the BEN quoting Freedman as saying we have to sell before we get more attacking players in. Goalposts shifted again. Quote
