Can we stop this instant negativity to everything BWFC it's embarrassing and tedious bringing every one down and achieves fuck all if that's the default mode your set in give your head a fucking wobbl

  • I'm not convinced about that. He comes across as more deluded than Coyle on occasions.

Chairmen must love the introduction of FFP.  It can be rolled out by any club as an excuse for poor financial planning and mismanagement.

How much parachute money are Derby, Middlesbrough and Forest going to get this season?  In 18 months we've gone from cock waving our money around to having less spending power than most of the division.

our no parachute income is lower than much of the division

certainly less than derby and forest - not sure about boro

and we don't sell players

so we can't spend

its how the rules have been written

Why didn't Derby and Middlesboro use their parachute money to go back up previously? Surely that would have been the best thing to do?

Forest is the interesting one as they seem to be the one pushing the bounds of FFP, maybe they will be the proof it is unenforceable or they may come a cropper, who knows

Not forgetting derby are owned by Disney (in a round about way admittedly)

And all 3 have jad a few years of restructuring and rebuilding from top to bottom

The whole point of a loan deal is to send your player out to improve him. Why the fuck would any team loan us a player. Or any half decent player or player with potential want to come here and play under that twat.

forset get 20 odd thou, dont they and sold a couple to pay for purchases

cant they also turn losses into shares or something?

which edwin could do, if he so wanted

Yeah he can put £2m equity in this season I think (think it decreases each year). They definitely far out do us on the income, especially with the sales. The press still seem to report they are close to the boundaries though.

I think its £3million this year and £2million next isn't it? Either way its not much.

I think I remember that we are looking at an £8 million loss all in at the most or we get fined if we go over that.

I assume paying Dougie off would count on our losses for this year as well so its very doubtful that we will get rid imo.

It might well be £3m this year, I couldn't remember if that was last.

The punishment is only a fine on promotion. Otherwise it is a transfer embargo starting in January. This is what Rovers are looking at based on the link in the other thread.

What is not yet clear is whether the fine goes to charity or is split between the FFP compliant clubs - I think QPR may be due a fine, but again I am not sure

We don't need new blood. We need a new heart.

And some enthusiasm from the owner about the football team he bought

If it was not for his enthusiasm we would not have a club

THE RULES DONT LET HIM DO WHAT SOME WANT US TO

Are these clubs not spending money on new players?

The articles ive read on it seem a bit sketchy and it seems that some clubs might challenge it in the courts should they get fined.

I would be interested to see a detailed breakdown of where our money is going though. I know that wont happen but somebody must be having a fucking laugh if all our budget has been spunked.

Theres money management issues above Dougie's head that aren't exactly helping him in his job.

our income is about 6 million, i think

and thats everything, gates, corporate, bog rolls the lot

humour me that bogdan, beckford, mills, spearing and wheater are on a combined 60 a week ( i think i'm being conservative)

thats half our money gone

another dozen on 5k a week and tahts the rest

Weve got 8 million over the top of that as well before we get fined I think which I the board will have to put in as I cant see us coming out a break even after such big losses last year.

Mind you them you are being conservative on are probably on a lot more than 60 combined so most of that will be gone too I guess.

Our top earners in that list there aren't exactly living up to their billing are they? I bet Mark Davies is on a few quid as well.

That's not a bad spine to the team for this league if we could get them playing though. Its judging the line where them being shit and the manager not getting the best from them is then I suppose.

Its a tough fucking gig really and Dougie is struggling. Its not certain if we bin him that the next guy will do much better either even though im leaning towards time to go.

If we sack Dougie its going to eat into the budget going forward as well I suppose so waiting this season out and trying to just stay up (fuck me that sounds awful) might be our best option in the long term.

I cant see a short term fix for us at all. We have blown our best ticket back up with Coyle and that was the short term fix option imo.

and :)

our running costs go way beyond first team squad wages

our income actually includes the hotel which made a significant loss too :)

btw, even having no money doesn't mean we should allow the manager to spend what we have badly

thats another argument

when he has been able to add quality on loan our results have improved

he needs to pull another rabbit out of the hat
