I think we were being figurative, as in they worked well as a partnership at the level we were at back then, whereas we don't have a midfield pairing that works at the level we are currently at.

If that's the case, I'll nominate to non-tackling midfield that started Black Sunday! ;-)

Spearing is probably our top earner. Get rid

I thought that was Gartside, who gets paid in luxury yachts per day?

Yawn yawn. If you think he's worth it you are welcome to BWFC under him, hope you enjoy it

I've enjoyed watching BWFC under him. Never thought I'd watch my team in the premiership or in Europe when I started following them. Football is about taking the rough with the smooth. It's rough at the moment but we've had more highs than lows under gartside's stewardship.

I assume you are unhappy with Eddie Davies too snowball. If you think gartside is alone in making decisions at the club then you have a very blinkered view of the world.

It's a simplistic view and one that several of us on here are pretty tired of explaining, but I'll try again.

1. Eddie Davies owns the club lock, stock and barrel and the only other creditor is Barclays Bank with who we have a £10m overdraft facility, of which we've used almost £8m. No alarms there.

2. ED is happy with PG's work, otherwise he wouldn't still be in a job.

3. If ED's happy, then protesting against PG is futile.

4. The club simply has to explore alternative income streams and if setting those streams up has an initial financial outlay, then it's obvious that it will be at the expense of transfer dealing.

Naive view of the world, I'd say.

We're still making our minds up whether to take De Costa or Schurrle.

Also waiting on phone call back re Fabregas.

Talking of Chelsea, what was the name of that winger Coyle got from them? Wasn't great, was he?

Thank you for being so patronising. Not all people who are unhappy with the chairman are the bed sheet brigade but if it makes you feel superior then so be it. I understand every point Traf made and it's a fair summary of where we are. I am not protesting against Gartside there is no point, he and ED took the club over together and financially they are inextricably linked. I don't pretend to understand the finances and what ED is getting out of it but Gartside is certainly his man in this regard and the owner is happy with him no doubt.

As a fan though, the last four appointments have been disastrous. Am I being naive in only blaming Gartside and not ED? Maybe, I don't know for sure who made the decision, do you? who said everyone in football will understand this appointment, who boasted of conning the richest club in Britain and then had to backtrack and who proposed no relegation top flight? That's the problem I have with him. I also have zero confidence he can find a decent successor to DF based on his record so far. (And Burndenpaddock we all enjoyed watching us under SAM ALLARDYCE)

This is the bit people have to understand, and until ED become unhappy with Gartside all the bitching and moaning on here is a waste of band width

Thers no deal with Chelsea for a loan player,It's bollocks

There is a deal. Df did a twitter q&a at the start of last season. I asked him if there was a deal

His reply was something like "i beleive there is a deal in place from the cahill transfer, but i dont like bringing in loan players as you improve them and then they return to their clubs. I would rather improve our own players."
