That's not how I read it if you spend more than your income the club are fined I don't think it's massive fine in great scheme of things and if your overspend helps you get promoted it's a no brainer but that's a big if.

He's a decent player for this league. Basically if we go over this £8m loss threshold then we get a transfer embargo, I don't know how long for but we would get one. Last years accounts and from the sounds of it all our transfer dealings have been structured to make sure we can get down to this level, from what Dougie was saying it sounds like we think we are going to make it under whereas the chicken botherers won't. As much as it has been frustrating with how we have acted with transfers (or lack of) I genuinely think it is for the good of the club and had to happen at some point. We are now living within our means, well almost, and it's now basically a case of if we want someone then we either increase the revenue (which is what all the non-football activity is being brought in for) or we get rid of someone or sell. I don't want Freedman here anymore, I understand he has had a tough task to work with the financial constraints but I still don't think it is an excuse for how poor and clueless we are. However by him getting us down to a level that complies with FFP I do think that we are a much easier sell to a good manager, whereas last year you would be telling a new man that when he comes in he has to make cuts all over the place, we are now in a position where we can say this is the squad you've got to work with (which I think can be a lot better than recent performances suggest), or you can try and move some on and replace with the same wages/cost. If by some miracle we do get promoted then suddenly our revenue goes through the roof and you would hope that we would be better this time at making sure the wages could be kept at a more reasonable level.

Monumental fuck up. I like Davies, but he's got constant injury problems and that's not going to change at a club like Burnley, white a limited squad will mean he's playing week in, week out. He's probably on good money here too, Burnley might have to push the boat out to get him to sign. That'll weigh heavy when they come down next year and he is stil in the treatment room.

I know there are wages, but as far as I an see, he has just picked up a couple of free agents for modest money. That's what we work with these days.
