Felt good that chaps. Good atmosphere around the ground, not as in the place was bouncing but everyone just seems positive and up for the challenge and not just sat there with their dicks in their hands. Something for us to support and get behind again.

Just seen the goals again. Danns was top drawer and the others were very composed finishes.

Watched on a stream, and to be fair the whole club look to have been lifted, great to see 3 of our senior coaches pitchside barking out instructions( by the way does Lennie Lawrence know yet he's been fucked off) subs made an impact, the whole mood has changed dramatically, just one thing pissed me off, how does Beckford get a start , he clearly is either not interested or is clearly utter dogshit, other than that onwards and upwards.

Better atmosphere, better Tempo, more chances, good moments of play. All in all better than the shit we have been served up over the years

2nd half was decent after Danns scored. Danns has certainly benefited from NL.

 

Periods of the first half was ok but a lot of work still to be done. Still lack that spark uptop but that will come with time and training hard over the coming months.

 

3 games in a week was always gonna be a tough start for NL but the signs are there for sure. The best 'Performance' of the week produced 0 points at Charlton. Funny game football

We were unstoppable for 20 minutes in the second half. Then at 2-0 we went to pieces. To be honest we were a little lucky to win as we completely fell apart for a while. Not sure what happened really. The defending on their goal was abysmal. Spearing was trying to see a ball out and made a mess of it and from there it was a shambles.

 

However, the change is huge. Far better a performance. The basic issues we have are still there but we can't change that so let's get on with it. Was amusing to see Lennon and Mjallaby go mental every time the ball went back to Lonergan when a forward pass was on. Also funny watching them when we started struggling. They literally stood there wondering what on earth was happening. Just like the rest of us.

 

One thing I'd say is that I think there is surely a place on the bench for Medo for situations like today. It was crying out for a holding midfield player towards the end. Vela is there but I think an experienced head is useful in these situations.

 

Best home performance this season by an absolute mile. Which is a real positive as I think the players have been scared playing at home.

Chungy looks a different player as does Spearing. Like a man possessed apart from his fuck up leading to their goal. Lennon went mad when Pratley did one shit pass too many and immediately hooked him

I'd agree with all that. On the way to the bowling alley fans were positively talking about moments in the game, was great to hear and be a part of. Turned round after being served and they were queueing out the door. Not seen that this season.

Enjoyed today. Good few minutes with NL in the fanzone. He didnt have to do that.

 

One interesting thing i noticed was at least 3 times NL had a do at Matt Mills for his long punts or passes. Each time he told him to get it on the deck and play a simpler pass. First time i have seen any manager do that.

 

Also liked the fact it was also Mjallby and Parker barking orders and motivating players through the game not just the manager.

The previous manager would have Medo on at 1-0. NL went with Mark Davies. He gets it.

I'd agree with Danny G Mjallby does have a look of Ivan Drago not quite as much as Jason Lydiate did.

NL's appearance in Fanzone was quality. Authority and bollocks that come from dealing with big pressures at a big club. I reckon he and his team will have more than enough about them to get us going back in the right direction soon enough
