Sat in west upper once mate, never ever again.

Woman tutted at me because I said "don't piss about with it there"

Ha ha, it's not that bad

I've never had anyone say owt to me about my behaviour and I hardly sit on my hands

They are a moaning bunch though

"Gerrim-off" at least 5 times every game; even if we are winning

Aye

Don't get me wrong, he wasn't great with the ball yesterday, but the grief he gets from some of the idiots in the WSU around me is ridiculous

Same as Beckford...but he can fuck off!

There both shite , think pratleys been put in for his precense and work rate yet He didn't win 1 header against there dwarf right back,

pretty sure he'll be dropped for m Davies next match, in fact I'd put money on it.

I think he had the in laws' tickets rather than it being a choice

I go there because my Dad has never moved from where we were in the equivalent in Manny Road South.

And sitting next to my Dad at the game is worth all the atmosphere in any stand to me currently

that is worth everything. I would love to go a game with my old fella again.

I think he may play both of them to be honest

Pratley does some incredible work off the ball and given a proper run in the team , his confidence with the ball may return

He hasn't been brilliant recently, but he isn't shite. He really isn't

I have only done WSU once due to comps

Me and Dazzy absolutely leathered up there singing we are the one and only wanderers all fucking game. The regulars thought we were crackers and soon got pissed off

No que for the ale at half time though

Right about the football, first half was wank but kept a clean sheet. Second half was a lot better. Beckford can fuck off for me, as long as I have a hole in my arse he won't score goals. Tell me one striker when the ball is pulled back to him doesn't put his laces through it first time? That nugget took a touch, an awful one at that. Pratley runs a lot but is a headless chicken. Jut before he was subbed he had the ball and all he had to do was dink or inside to spearing but instead he gave it his full back. As soon as he did that I looked at Lennon and he muttered that's enough and told mark Davies to get ready. 2 mins later boom Davies scores. Dog eater spearing and danns are different players now, esp danns, playing with confidence. Mills seems to be getting settled and being a rock, can't make my mind up on dervite. Mason looked lost like a small fish in a big pond, said its bad when beckford looks the main man. Get a decent striker and we will average 2 goals a game

Too right

But

Snap! Very well put Jules/E.

Not on here to defend Beckford but we give him very little service or chances. Exactly the same for Mason yesterday yet he escapes the criticism.

I like the fact that Lennon is trying to pick a settled side unlike his predecessor. 9 players have started all 3 games for him. Can't imagine DF would've managed that.

Also feel wins over Birmingham & Brentford shouldn't get us too giddy yet. Much tougher tests to come - but everyone in this division has the potential to beat each other - many of yesterday's results prove that once more.

Surely NL won't drop dannns, spearing, or lee.

Unless he drops beckford and puts pratley up front

I think he may go back to 1 up top with Chungy behind the striker and Danns back with Spearing

I got as frustrated as anyone with Pratley yesterday. He slows our play down a lot of the time, his passing is often poor and he generally looks uncomfortable on the ball, whether it's down to confidence or not we can only guess at but I've got a feeling it could be.

However, as Jules has mentioned he is in the team for his work off the ball. Yesterday we played with pretty much 3 front men which left us very open in the midfield, although the high pressing is more effective and is clearly a better style it does mean that on the odd occasion that Brentford played their way round us, or spearing/Danns pushed up too high then we were wide open in midfield leaving the defence isolated. This is where Pratley is so useful, the amount of times he made sure he got back, either to win the ball back or just make a cynical foul to break up the play, was so important. He is always looking to cover for the other midfielders and has the stamina to get back even after he's just sprinted to join an attack.

I hope he gets better on the ball as he gains confidence because he can be an asset in our team, however as Mark Davies showed yesterday he is a class above, and if (it's a very big if) he could get a run of games and reach decent fitness levels to contribute somewhere close to the work rate that Pratley does, then he is obviously a better choice in a team that is now looking to keep possession and keep the ball on the floor.

Eddie, started watching whites again from Derby match, went brum but not charlton .every time pratley been poor, looks awkward on the ball.

Are you saying this is just a bad run of form and he has got talent? As I've not see the previous games

To be honest, I've personally never been too impressed by him on the ball and get the feeling that he is often in the team for the other aspects of his game that I mentioned.

Do I think he's got talent? Yes.

Would he be in my starting 11 with a fully fit, confident squad? No

I do however think he's got a part to play in us becoming a successful championship team and he can be effective in some games more than others (ie a tough away game rather than a home game against a lesser side where we dominate possession). If he can find the form that he apparently had at Swansea, and that he showed at the start of last season then I think we've got more than just a worker, I just don't think we've seen it enough to say that he can yet.

Does anyone know how long he's under contract for? After saying all that I've just thought that he is probably one of the higher earners in the squad and therefore as soon as he is out of contract I'd not be looking to renew as his wages could be better spent elsewhere IMO.

About Pratley, Mark Davies added something going forward. But left us far more open than Pratley did. Pratley is fantastic off the ball, awful on it, but he has characteristics that nobody else does. He ability to get up and down the pitch and cover ground.

For me the midfield at 2-0 was far too open and we need a proper balance in there.

He's out of confidence right now and not surprisingly. But he has a physical presence we missed when he went off.
