Essentially we’re not on the same planet as City so we should be more pissed off about Wigan winning than City losing. I think.

 

Never thought I’d say it but I really do miss us playing Wigan. Let’s be honest, we’re worlds apart from the Manchester clubs these days and the rivalry with Blackburn comes and goes so we might as well make the best of it and enjoy the fact that Latics despise us and we’ve been on similar levels on the pitch for a decade or more.

I've never cared about City, they aren't rivals, I've watched us play them in the Kippax and it was full of Bolton. Wigan should get fucked for the pitch invasion and people attacking players, that's all.

A mate was working as a steward on City end and was drafted in as backup (a City season ticket holder as well), blamed it on Wigan stewards said they left them to it.

Big rivals? FFS. I couldn't care less what City do or don't.  Only thing is if they win stuff it pisses off Man Utd fans which is a winner in my book. 

 

Wigan are a bit like Tranmere of the early 90's. They'll keep irritatingly popping up every now and again but eventually will fade back to total obscurity.

Wigan have more experience with pitch invasions than virtually any club in the country given they have one on the last day every year and had a few others besides. Every other time they’ve had a cordon on the edge of the 18 yard box but that was conspicuous by its absence last night.

Maybe they didn't expect a pitch invasion because it was a 5th round game of the FA Cup. You'd have thunk they'd won the Champions League final.
