The full draw for the tournament (on 1st December) will be awkward.

All the pots, not just the top pot, are being filled via FIFA rankings (except hosts will be in pot one), but there will be geographical limits. Apart from Europe no group will have more than one team from a continent association. For Europe there will be a maximum of two in a group. So, like CL/EL draws, only certain groups will be available as the draw progresses.

Went to the England game against my better judgement, it was pissing it down and we were crushed into a small roofless area,  a few of us managed to get into the left hand paddock where at least you weren't crushed, the football and everything else was shite, I have never seen so many fans leaving at half time there were hundreds including me went back on the ale

For the play-offs I believe the seeds are Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Denmark, with the unseeded teams Northern Ireland, Sweden, Republic of Ireland and Greece.

For the tournament draw on 1st December Pot 1 will comprise:

Russia (as hosts), plus Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and France.

 

England will be in Pot 2, alongside, Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, and, if they survive play-offs, Switzerland and Italy.
