Qatar World Cup

It's going to give teams which don't have many international players a big advantage, as they will effectively be getting a winter break. Some of the other teams could also lose players to injury at a World Cup half way through the season.

Qatar won the bid to host a summer World Cup not one in December.

Hahahahahahaha...he thinks it's is cold in Qatar in the winter.

I got off a plane in Qatar in December a few years back.

With in seconds I felt like a bucket of water had been thrown over me. Piss wet through with sweat.

No time of the year is a good time to be playing football out there.

It was a farce when it was announced & the farce continues to escalate.

Where's the dodgy bid thread, there shoud be two threads, one for the ''It's going to be good'' camp and one for the ''It's going to be shit'' ones?

The brown envelope shocker one??

Even google couldn't find it.

Did my nut in.

Fair dos, I've noticed that, stuff is hard to find these days, if you could remember a memorable phrase from a thread "hiding in the boot" or "heavy cummer with poor directional control" for example, you'd be apt to find any thread using Google, no longer the case now...

Is is Google or is it Wanderersways? Who knows?

Dates announced, co incidental they were released before the news on Blatter broke

"The 22nd World Cup will be staged from November 21 to December 18 in 2022.

FIFA's executive committee confirmed the dates which means it will be the first ever winter World Cup."

It might actually make the World Cup vaguely interesting, because the last one was bobbins.

I'm amazed anyone is still addled enough to think the fans are even part of the consideration.

They're always bobbins unless England get to the knockout stages. I bet the German's thought it was fucking brilliant.

so does the prem shut down?

what about teams in our league with 2 or 3 international players?

It's a can of worms, and that's before the slave labour, hundreds of worker deaths, corruption etc... In my opinion, the F.A should boycott it.

Unless we win it, then it was a brilliant decision.
