Andydee Posted March 7, 2015 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Just spent the best part of an hour onto O2 trying to find out why Safari Mobile aka Switchfire and SocMan have billed Mrs Dee 5 x £6 through my account for porn services.......which would be fine but she hasn't even been able to access!! What a fckin scam. O2's response after escalating through the ranks 'we haven't charged you it's a third party' It's shows on my bill from you, you bellends. They give me a number to call Safari Cust Services as it's them you need to sort it out with. That goes to voicemail requesting name and number you're ringing about as they only work 9-5 mon-fri, 2 minutes later get a txt from 'Funpay' mobile number 'is there a problem' Course there's a fckin problem, you've charged my wife £30 for porn and she's not got it!!! Andydee Posted March 9, 2015 Author Share Posted March 9, 2015 Update> Dazbob - you've made the classic mistake of assuming because Safari is mentioned it's iwankerphone related, along with 2 of the 5 O2 customer service people I've spoke to. Now't to do with iwankers just that one, of the many associated companies, in this is called safari Mobile. Bit more digging and lots on t'interweb about this and the companies involved. Anyhow full refund, goodwill gesture as they can't prove or disprove Mrs Dee has or has not accessed 5 porn videos in the space of 4 minutes, and a 'direct to bill charge' bar placed on our phones to prevent this happening again. Operator found guilty by Phonepayplus, £250k fine, have to prove they've refunded everyone and that robust opt-in systems in place. Virgin didn't want to know, the self regulated complaints organisation for premium texts said there was nowt wrong. I fucked Virgin off and told the self regulated complaints organisation that I hope their premises got bombed in that there London, cunts. Went to Giff Gaff, with Giff Gaff you get a goodybag and as long has you don't put credit on your account for other services (like using your phone abroad and porn) no premium texts can be charged. Complained a couple of months back and got 65 quid back. They've just added it back in this month. Can't be arsed calling Stanley in down town Mumbai to sort it.
