onlyoneawalker Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Without parachutes, fresh investment or promotion next 12 months we're in trouble that was the case when we drew at Stoke and it's the case now Quote
HR Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 There also paying Kenwyne Jones 36 k a week or at least part of it while he is on loan. put into perspective the position we will find ourselves in the 36 k a week would be over half our gate receipts. Or much less than Andrews and Beckford combined, frightening thought. Quote
gonzo Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Watford,Bournemouth,Ipswich,Derby,Brentford have done all ok without parachute money of late. I just don't get this shit creek stuff. It's the same for everyone else in the division. Fulham,Cardiff,us (when we came down), Blackburn were all fookin loaded when relegated and got fookin nowhere fast. Quote
davidjack Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Well said gonzo. Some folk on here seem incapable of any other response - to anything -which doesn't involve moaning like fuck. I really don't know why they bother with BWFC if it makes them so unhappy. Quote
Horwich Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 All those teams have been building a squad for years. We havent even started with ours yet. Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 All those teams have been building a squad for years. We havent even started with ours yet. Well we have. It's just that a lot of our fans don't seem to have the patience to deal with the first level of rebuilding (read Feeney, Trotter, Dervite et al.). Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I think our problem is that ED has drawn a line on what he's prepared to put in now other owners in the division weren't owed £100m plus before they got in championship so I guess are happy to speculate some cash on the club - it looks at present like ED has had his day and distinctly does not want to put more in and certainly doesn't want to fund losses - if nowt happens next season as I say I think we're then in a situation where the MO of the club will change considerably Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) All those teams have been building a squad for years. We havent even started with ours yet. Take out the first 10 games of the season and the points we've picked up since then if averaged over the season we'd have finished 9 th just 10 points behind a play off place, with the shocking injuries we've had it does not take much imagination required to think we could bridge that gap under lennon next season and get into the play offs, I'm hopeful, very hopeful. It's been all about the injuries for me. Is the training at fault? The medical staff? Playing surface? Until the root cause is identified I'm going to guess next season won't get any better. I hate my own pessimism but think we need to identify the reason that isn't Jonny Evans. Quote
