Mounts Kipper Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 That says that the club would prefer to shift the high earners rather than the promising young lads who aren't on big wages. It doesn't say they won't be sold. Unfortunately, prospective buyers are more likely to be interested in promising young players on realistic wages rather than older lads who have done a double take on pay day every month since they signed a contract. It's took 12 days to do a complete about turn. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 NL must be pulling his hair out. Having to play the likes of trotter and spearing. Fear an absolute drubbing tonight Quote
enzo gambaro Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 It's took 12 days to do a complete about turn. There's been no about turn. Don't you think they'd rather shift Medo, Spearing and Wheater? Quote
gonzo Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 It's like the most liked ratings on youporn. The up and cummers are always the most sought after. The battered old hags that have been around the block for years barely get a click. Quote

Eavesy Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Maybe it's time to unleash Liam Trotter? We badly need a hero out there! There's no point playing a player if he is going to get absolutely terrorised by the fans before he's even touched the ball. Quote
Blondi Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 There's no point playing a player if he is going to get absolutely terrorised by the fans before he's even touched the ball. We might have little option shortly, especially with Mavies & Vela on the move and now Pratley being linked with a move to Ipswich. Quote
Ratwhite Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Not a regular poster on here but daily viewer. I think we've gone past valuations and reasons for the sale of players. No matter how frustrating it is, the focus of the club has to be the forefront in these next few days. Not saying that there are any of these folk on here but some need to think about the workers with the business I.e the coaches who have trained since leaving college, cleaners, admin staff, chef's who will have been to catering school, community workers, groundsman as I for one wouldn't like to go to work to be told I have the prospect of no job and then have to compete with others for alternative work. I hope this doesn't happen but there is always a possibility in situations like this. The liklehood is the the bwfc playing squad will have better options for getting back into work of their choice. Just an opinion. Good post. You should perhaps contribute more often. Quote
Eavesy Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 We might have little option shortly, especially with Mavies & Vela on the move and now Pratley being linked with a move to Ipswich. Okay. Well the next time someone is stood next to you going ape shit (no racism intended) when trotter is coming on or about to touch the ball will you tell them we have no one else and they should calm down. Gonk Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 It's took 12 days to do a complete about turn. Mounts. Nowhere in that article does it quote anybody from the club on the Vela situation. It's all conjecture. 'The Bolton news believes this' and 'we understand that'....all piss and wind Quote
mickbrown Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Nixon reckons 'wee Eddie' has blocked Vela sale. I know, I know, shouldn't be reading that. Quote
Arrested development Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 NL must be pulling his hair out. Having to play the likes of trotter and spearing. Fear an absolute drubbing tonight NL has found ways to avoid playing Spearing this season. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Spearing sat on his arse tonight. Quote
MalcolmW Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Mavies sale has stalled as Wednesday can't won't match his current wages (per BBC). Quote
Sweep Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Mavies sale has stalled as Wednesday can't won't match his current wages (per BBC). Which shows exactly why we're in the shit that we're currently in Quote

jagermoot Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Anyone think lennon might walk if all the decent players are flogged? Quote
jagermoot Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Clough might be really happy here. He's just unfortunate to be pretty good and a really sellable asset Quote
Sweep Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Anyone think lennon might walk if all the decent players are flogged? nope, he'll never walk, sadly. Quote
Plums Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 So the sale of the car park to Emerson is the last hope? Hmm.. Quote
clown Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I'd be gutted losing Vela. But they are only employees of the club paid to entertain us. Quote
gonzo Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 So the sale of the car park to Emerson is the last hope? Hmm.. Not like them to pray on us when we are at our lowest and get things on the cheap is it? Quote
Casino Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I'd be gutted losing Vela. I'd not bat an eyelid I just don't get him Quote
gonzo Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I'd not bat an eyelid I just don't get him Me neither tbh Quote
HomerJay Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 now i like vela, i think he has great ability. but i can see why lennon didnt pick him early in the season because i dont see his attitude to the situation as great. maybe i'm misreading his body language but he gives up far to easily for me and loses his head now and again. in terms of pure ability, he reminds me of hierro. looks to have time on the ball and plays with his head up.
