Love how people still have this delusion that ANY player would ever feel that they owe a club anything.

It's precious.

you did say you'd like clough to offer to cut his wages to stay yesterday mind

but the point here is, although it's a convoluted situation now based on rumour and conjecture, is that we've had to let davies go to sheff weds for free due to his wage demands, which all in all would make him a cunt

oh and i reckon the likes of holden would feel they owe the club a lot

If by some miracle we stay up or when we go down we need players who have the heart for the fight.

Any player who is not prepared to fight may as well be let go we can not afford passengers.

Not going to slag individual players off based on internet rumours, would rather concentrate on the positive that based on the same internet rumours Clough wants to stay and the club seem to want to keep Vela.

We gave him the contract and paid him the wages. It's not his look-out that we've made a complete bollocks of everything.

Anyway, he's gone. That's a million quid a year less we'll have to find.

Sheff Weds could have got a load of heat treated glass much cheaper.

There's a difference between liking it to happen, and it actually happening.

And I'm not sure that Davies refusing to lower his wage demands makes him a cunt. I'm fairly certain we are moving him on JUST to remove that wage from our books - not to get a transfer fee.

give it two months, we will be in admin, and he wont get any wages..

I'd wager he isn't the hottest property and will end up on less then anwyay..

smart person would jump ship....

I'm on a temp contract at work and don't know if i'll have a job there come September... despite being trained here, if another school came in and offered me a permanent contract on slightly less...

Has he gone?

I can't find anything saying Davis has gone also Sheffield We'd signed hunt from Palace so they may have told Davis to do 1

Nicky?

Kinell, bit harsh. Yeah at some point he will go somewhere to better himself, but in the meantime his stuck with the club at a time when he's not guaranteed wages or even job.

its not harsh

Funnily enough, and I might be in the minority, but if his decision to stay cost us cash that sent us to oblivion, then I'd not bother one bit. It's not his fault the clubs fooked and anyone remotely demonizing him in such a situation should seriously look at themselves. The kid wants to stay, and perhaps should be applauded by all parties for not going somewhere just for cash and risking not playing to his ability at Bristol.

As for Davies, you're right, he's done what's best for him too. The difference is he's a senior player on premiere wages, massively underperforming here and maybe given the fact nobody seems to want to match his wages, he should look at himself and pull his finger out.

Depends how much of a wage cut Wednesday want Davies to take.

It's all well and good calling him greedy but if he and his agent feel they're not offering a good wage then he's under no obligation to accept it.

cheers, ginge

Absolutely. That's what I've said. He should realise how fortunate he is and show some commitment. That's if he doesn't actually go. If he does then fine. Good riddance

Has Mark Davies left?

I've not seen anything official.
