Rembrandt Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 They're based at Marine now. There aren't any senior non league clubs within the Liverpool boundaries, though I hear a new club 'City of Liverpool FC' is looking to join the North West Counties next season. Big spread of Scouse players around the leagues though, not to mention a raft of them playing in the Welsh Prem When i was at uni there, South Liverpool were a good non-league side. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Rochdale v Bury, fancy that who do we play that day? Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Went to watch that in the LDV the other year. Was so much fun we ended up going back for the league game the following season. It'll have to be played Friday or Monday as Bolton v Cardiff game and Charnock Richard U11s on the Sunday take precedent. Edited November 9, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote

bolty58 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I remember as a kid my dad was always in a foul mood when we played Marine. He couldn't stand scousers & I recall they were always dirty bastards. Â Â They gave us Jason McAteer so are excused. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 They gave us Jason McAteer so are excused. For a bag of balls.???? Quote
bolty58 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) For a bag of balls. Â Â I have one of those. Â On a more serious note, apart from the fact that we might get beaten, an away draw at a non league ground always appeals as a 'something different cracking away day'. Â I am hoping for Chesham United away. I could stay with my aunt in Amersham. Edited November 10, 2015 by bolty58 Quote

Rembrandt Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) For fook sake : no non-league club. We'd struggle to beat one at the Macron, let alone away. We've had some narrow escapes before. Â ManU, Arse, City, Chelsea, or Toon ........ away. Swap a thumping for shit load of cash. Edited November 10, 2015 by Rembrandt Quote

famouswanderer Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) No point having a tie away to a crap club with a crap crowd. No money & a hiding to nothing. Â There is the benefit of prize money, possible tv money and bigger chance of getting a big club in the next round... Â We would have to win mind.. Edited November 10, 2015 by famouswanderer Quote
