Heres a view looking towards Farnworth along where St Pete's is now with Burnden on the right under the viaduct. they were culverting the Croal at the time.

Scary as Fuck really attended the 1966 semi final FA cup game Scum v Everton with the old fella on thembankment I was 14 & we got separated 60,000 on & I think 20k on you know where .My feet never touched the ground during the exit .Shit myself at the time but heyho those cheeky scousers won 1-0 so even then I thought thank Christ.

I was right at the front against the fence when we played Everton in the League Cup semi in 1977, 50,000 on. We were in the side closest to the Paddock. On a couple of occasions there was the inevitable crowd surge with me pinned up against the fence, I swear the fence buckled, THAT was scary.
