I said this to my Southend supporting customer today...He started pissing himself laughing. When he composed himself he said the last lot of accounts showed Brown was on £3K per week

 

It's so easy to mix weekly and monthly wages....

I said the very same to my father in law last night. The fact is that unless we can find a way of moving on all of our big earners in the close season then we're financially hamstrung for the next few seasons at least. During which time the debt will continue to accumulate.

A decent manager may actually instill some pride and get the players playing

 

Aye off the pitch it's a mess

 

And whilst most clubs in our position do struggle, it is possible to perform well

 

Even DF and NL got them playing for a bit and it's a much down to them as it is wages and apathy from the players that they weren't able to sustain it
