Sweep Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Isn't he the biggest crank on Twitter? That's some title to have... Quote
clown Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Went to Wigan Sarfend game, Phil was on touch line and nearly got sent off for moaning at ref. He had plenty to moan about as his team were getting dismantled. Subbed one of his players, who walked past him without shaking Phil's outstretched hand, ripped off his shirt and clearly mouthed "wanker". I'd suggest he's leaving Sarfend regardless. Quote
Ani Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Brown is the great white hope now that we have green shoots and are out of the red and in the black. White ? He is more orange (or oranger?) than Gonzo. Quote
Blondi Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Interesting listen after Southend's loss against Wigan yesterday and the interviewer asked Brown about his future. Scroll to 3 mins 25. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03rzg75 Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 That interview sums up why I don't want him anywhere near the job. Quote
blackleywhite Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 He's as numb as a piss stone. Please god not him!! Quote
plodwhite Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I must be weird cause i still want him here Quote
bolton va va Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hmmmmm.....not a very impressive interview. Any of Hill, Sheridan or Wilder would be preferable to me. Quote
Casino Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 i still dont want brown i dont rate him but even more of an issue for me is the old players club just fcuk em all off Quote
tomski Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I think it's gonna happen though. He seems to be up for getting canned big time even suggesting it himself in that interview Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) Not only all that above, but on a broader issue, haven't we just got rid of one bloke seemingly more interested in shagging and supping than organising a football team for Saturday (or Tuesday, or whenever)? I also reckon Deano wants Browny as part of a nefarious puppet-regime plan. Edited April 24, 2016 by Youri McAnespie Quote
gonzo Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Can't wait for him to roast the players on the pitch at half time and get run over by a zorb. Quote
Walkden White Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Must be in a small minority but I have no problem at all with that interview. Clearly well pissed off about his current team despite all the speculation not doing the basics of winning their individual battles and no matter what league or standard of football you are in that is the first requirement. That is why we are where we are. Quote
Zico Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 i still dont want brown i dont rate him but even more of an issue for me is the old players club just fcuk em all off We had out best era under the management and coaching of ex players between fat sam, brown and Lee And coyle took us down Then Freedman nearly did Then lennon did Don't think it makes a difference if they played for us or not, other than familiarity breeding contempt Quote
1969 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Would like to see cotterill get the job But would take brown if not Can't see what the problem with brown is But we all have our own opinion Quote
LeggyMountbatten Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 John Sheridan's odds are shortening Quote
Blondi Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 John Sheridan's odds are shortening Just seen that, now 11/2 with Skybet, he's come from nowhere. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Serves me right, should have stuck my money down the other day. He'll do for me will Sheridan Quote
Blondi Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Serves me right, should have stuck my money down the other day. He'll do for me will Sheridan I'd imagine the compo would be far cheaper for Sheridan than Brown. Southend fans are convinced that Brown is off to us, but I'm not convinced, think Brown is gagging for the job tbh. Sheridan is certainly the dark horse and he's done wonders at Oldham, who were nailed on for relegation before he took the job. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) Serves me right, should have stuck my money down the other day. He'll do for me will Sheridan Has Sheridan enough managerial experience? I'd prefer someone who's not at the moment a flash in the pan. Just checked his record seems a bit chequered seems to start well then tail off, also seems to attract conflict sounds like a Roy Keane type personality, based on what I've read he's not for me.
