June 7, 20188 yr Won't miss Pratley decent sort but injury record very poor as for Henry can see why his age etc but I would have given him another year tbh as for Wilbraham expected that .
June 7, 20188 yr Do you know what he was asking for? I'd of kept pratley. Unless we have someone better lined up Potential stumbling block. Think it’s safe to assume he was one of our higher earners, but he’s 33 and he’s not been able to stay healthy. I’d have kept him too if he’d ticked a few more boxes, but ‘alright when he’s fit’ isn’t enough. Depends who we get in, like.
June 7, 20188 yr so long as its about their ability as players and not about saving money, i'm fine with it personally, sad to see em go
June 7, 20188 yr To save click bait. Pratley Henry and wilbraham released Would have kept Pratley and Henry. Can only hope he has players lined up. I for one are dissapointed with the announcement.
June 7, 20188 yr so long as its about their ability as players and not about saving money, i'm fine with it personally, sad to see em go Combination of both is surely the deciding factor?
June 7, 20188 yr bar his injuries pratley has been decent and has come in for shit from sections over the years Time is right now though
June 7, 20188 yr On paper every single player released has been spot on. However, it puts huge pressure on the club to get new signings / loans spot on. credit to PP for making those decisions and fingers crossed it works out and there are a busy few weeks ahead Edited June 7, 20188 yr by barrycowdrill

June 7, 20188 yr Sad to see Pratley go. Folk have been so blind to his days as Premier League scapegoat that they missed how much he works his bollocks off, and more importantly how much the team misses him when he’s not there. Played a massive part in turning round the promotion season and played on with a broken leg FFS. Wilbraham was always going to be released, but for THAT moment thank you from the bottom of my heart. Surprised to see both Wheaters and Beevers getting new deals, I did expect one of them to go but surely we’re still on the look out for a centre back with a bit of pace and ball playing ability or Oztumer will be getting a crick in his neck watching the ball fly over his head.
June 7, 20188 yr or that theres less money surely if pratley would of been offered a reduced deal. If it was as you are I would of kept them both on tbh Edited June 7, 20188 yr by radcliffe white

Would imagine we are with Dervite, Derik and Burke all gone.
June 7, 20188 yr other way to look is perhaps some money is available after all, if it was the same as last would of thought he’d kept a couple on absolutely. i can only see it as a positive and with the messages that seem to be coming out about a 'fresher' and more 'dynamic' team im pleasantly optimistic i just pray to god the club get the balance right on new signings
June 7, 20188 yr Didn’t someone say Pratley moved out weeks ago? Sure he will tip up at another club soon enough Sad to see him go as I think he grafted his arse off and got stuck in, unlike many others who have played next to him in the middle of the park He seemed to get more abuse for trying than the potentially more technically gifted players around him that didn’t bother lifting a finger
June 7, 20188 yr Pratley, Henry and Aaron are average 35 years old. Our team has seriously lacked pace, creativity, completely the right decision. I can thank pratley for his service but I am happy to see him go, some people say he did well, but me personally, over 7 years, never showed enough ability, his biggest trait was running around and fouling. Especially considering we got him after his season at Swansea, when he bagged around 15 goals. Only problem now, is that our squad looks completely depleted. With a shorter transfer window this year, Andersons need to push some money in. Edited June 7, 20188 yr by Lostock Whites
June 7, 20188 yr Not too fussed so long as it doesn't take us till September again to find a replacement Guess this could mean Vela being played deeper on a regular basis
June 7, 20188 yr Well said birch, not hiding away like many have done over the yearsHe’s had his moments hiding.
June 7, 20188 yr Have a think how many managers Pratley has seen in his time at BWFC. For the numerous faults of pretty much every incumbent, they can’t ALL have been wrong about him. Edited June 7, 20188 yr by Leyther_Matt
June 7, 20188 yr Have a think how many managers Pratley has seen in his time at BWFC. For the numerous faults of pretty much every incumbent, they can’t ALL have been wrong about him. he always did the unnoticed dirty work. As said above he came as a pretty free scoring midfielder and was moulded in to something completely different which ALL managers then used him as in the modern game with stats for everything id guess he was always up there in km's covered, interceptions etc etc. But he will have been one of the lowest for touches of the ball, pass completion... i think we'll start to see Vela used in that role now who is also better on the ball. Then bringing in someone in alongside him to play football. win win for me
June 7, 20188 yr Have a think how many managers Pratley has seen in his time at BWFC. For the numerous faults of pretty much every incumbent, they can’t ALL have been wrong about him. I bet he's seen and heard a fair bit of drama behind the scenes in that time too
June 7, 20188 yr Sorry to see Henry go guess that an age thing never been a Pratley fan working your bollocks off is not sufficient qualification to play Championship football although he did have the odd good game .Obviously his 'attitude' impressed most previous managers .I remember him probably harshly as constantly stumbling over the ball. Wilbraham had to go but thanks for that memory!
