I agree with that point 100% re round pegs, round holes and Toal is the latest example.  But Vic is a different issue all for me (nobody has to agree) - but even if we build the formations/tactics around his playing style, the bottom line is he's not a very good footballer IMO.  I wouldn't be changing anything to suit him, I'd be playing somebody different there in an ideal world (Collins and one other, preferably with some strength and decent in possession).

Toal and Dapo are class players that its worth getting the best out of, Vic isn't at that level so I don't have a big opinion on playing to his strengths, we still wouldn't get a lot of out of him, from what I've seen.

BTW I didn't realise he was ever a winger, I honestly can't imagine him in that role but fair enough if that explains partly the relative lack of goals in his career.

Actually JR I do agree with you on Victor and like you I’d prefer a replacement but unless someone comes in for him I’d rather try to play to his strengths whilst he is here. I’m not sure if it’s still IE he’ll change but if not at least try and get the wingbacks to get the ball across quicker to him. 🙂

Am hoping Johnston comes in to replace toal,  the lad is OK but not good enough yet,   gets caught out of position and loses his man way to many times.
