I'm no expert but I've had a look at his highlight reel from 2025 (last season , not the one just ended) and the thing that struck me, was that for 10 minutes of his 'best bits' it was very conspicuous to me that the were hardly anything shown as to what happened after he won the ball - no assists, no passes shown leading to goals or even shots on (or off) target. no 40 yard passes, no passes changing direction of the game, no give and takes, nothing at all much (well maybe I exaggerate, there are some - but nowhere near as many as you would likely to see in a Sheehan highlight reel).

Granted that could be simply to keep the highlight reel to under 10 minutes but until I see any evidence of his passing ability, I would find it hard to consider him as being anything like a replacement for our playmaker.

 

Seen a bit of him on the SPL programme on iPlayer, wouldn't have him as a playmaker, more a younger version of what Dempsey gave us, an aggressive attacking midfield sort who might pop up with a goal or two.

Could be some kid in his bedroom for all I know but the likes of Marc Iles and Mike Minay follow the site, so who's to say the information about the transfer fee is not more widely known over in Hungary?

 

Could all be bollocks I do agree but I think it probably is as informed and reliable as the likes of Pete O'Rourke is over here.

Can't really go due to reasons but watched on Sky.

Crazy crowd given both the day and time of day. We'd have easily passed 30k if public transport would have been better available. 

Doubt Gale will be up to much in Championship.

Absolutely gutted about all three players leaving. 

Jonno captained us to promotion two days ago and has been outstanding lately, especially given he was out of position for most of it. Loved his passion and commitment. Perhaps lacking in some areas but still think he’s more than good enough to find a club in our league  

Jordi an absolute colossus at times. I’ve always been a massive fan of his. So versatile. An absolute world beater on his day, albeit injury prone. 

Demps was expected. Simply not the same player and ruined by injuries in his time with us. But there’s not one single man in all of our time in the doldrums who was prouder to play for Bolton Wanderers than him. He wore the shirt with so much pride, as they all did. 

The saving grace to take from it all is that I’m quietly confident we have the backing to think we can do better. I’m not even remotely arsed about the Premier League, but I think we might be onto the trajectory of something really special 🙏

just to compete in the championship whilst it feels we are going in the right direction is something we've not had for a long time

10 as a bare minimum, only about 5 of those I'd see as capable of handling Championship football week in week out. 

Too many in that list who were brought in for big money / on long contracts and whose ceiling is definitely L1. 

Assembling a squad fit to have us 4th bottom by next May is going to be a challenge and half

Could be. My thinking is just that we only had 5 players out of contract and they want to free up as much space as possible, while keeping Christie as an old experienced player who won't expect to play regularly and therefore not get upset if he's not picked.

He's made it pretty clear - even beyond the usual platitudes all loan players say - that he wants to play for Celtic.

And so he should really. Their best striker currently is an unfit Iheanacho who can barely manage half an hour.

There are a lot to come.

Tutu has had a great 3 weeks but otherwise been poor defensively. At least he’s managed to keep injury free this season but he’s almost 28 and not played 150 career games. 
 

Can see him rocking up at somewhere like the Franchise.

Christie   minimum mins and cup games

Conway  Bench will end up in midfield

Taylor  Paid off

Toal   Take bids

Gale the only winger we have got.....can see us going back for the Salford lad

Randell   Expensive flop

McAtee  loaned out or bids

Theres plenty to still go

Gutted on Desmond, Demps and Johnston although they got us up, im not sure they would keep us up. Wish them all the best. 
 

Next level of player required which I’m sure schuey will nail again. Not getting carried away but this reeks of a double promotion 😄

We've never really had that as well since dropping out of the Prem.

We bottled our first year back as we all know, missing out on the play offs. Then since then really we had just kept slipping down, getting relegated and all the terrible things off the pitch.

A solid Championship club with good cup runs is more than enough for me for the next 3 years or so.

It's a hell of a league.

yeah, I'd say for a short spell when we made a play off charge under DF

and when Lennon first came in, around the time we beat Wigan on a Friday night and got a draw at Liverpool in the cup

neither lasted long though

With the exception of Dalby, Sheehan, Rodrigues and possibly Erhahan, don't think many of the rest of the contracted players will be up to championship football, hope I'm wrong.
