Well it's Ben Davies, former Preston, Liverpool, Rangers left sided centre half. I'm lead to believe that's done, good experienced defender for the level, struggled with injuries last year on loan at Oxford but a clear upgrade over Johnston for me.

There's a left back as well, similar level of experience at the level but don't think that's as close.

Not sure how you figure that, Johnston is 27 and never played above League 1 level. This lad spent several years at the heart of a mid-table Preston defence before earning a move to Liverpool and has since, earned playoffs with Sheffield United, been sold for £3m, played Champions League football and then won League 1 with Birmingham.

Safe to say it's a fairly significant upgrade in quality and experience.

He’s injury prone and always had a better partner next to him bailing him out. Bit like santos covering Jonno for years..

GJ 43 appearances in the season just gone in a team that went up. Would be a solid signing if we're just going off stats.

But we aren't presumably, because Davies has only played more than 27 league games once in 10 years and averages less than 20 a year.

If SS is confident he'll do a job, that'll do for me.

I’d definitely avoid going back if I was him. Left on a high. Remembered as a Leicester great. Only going to make things worse.

Sheffield Weds is a no brainer. He doesn’t need the money of a Championship club. Boyhood club for him. Could certainly help get them promoted and have a successful season. Plus at that level he has a chance of scoring a few.

I don't think the barrier to us re-signing ACD is him playing for their first-team but going elsewhere on loan
