Maybe but isn’t young Morrison a winger and according to Isles we’re still hopeful on ACD?

Morrison plays either as a winger or centre midfield

Amortisation doesn't mean the transfer fee is actually paid to the selling club in installments. It's just recorded that way on the books.

I thought amortisation was something to do with those reed defusers that women like until this post 😁

Not really surprised, think Brighton wanted him to go abroad for another loan spell.

Can't help but think that could be a great move for him

The German football nonces like @tomski , @DazBob and @Big E will love it

Incredibly dull city though. But a Bundesliga opportunity for ACD.

There used to be a great underground live jazz club (nice!), though that was about 25 years' ago. A friend worked at the Bundesbank there and we would often frequent it. Quite a nice centre but, as you say, overall pretty unremarkable. As is Bolton

Couldn’t see a scenario where this didn’t happen. They have the money and platform. It’s sadly a no brainer from all parties, removing us

Yes it’s as naff as a German city gets

just been reading that John McAtee, on a figure of £10,000 per week, is our highest earner.

if thats the best we can afford we might be in for a rough season.

I don't think it is the best we can afford. I think its more a case of a completely misjudged transfer and contract.

Maybe the best we could afford in league one, the championship's a (pardon the pun) whole new ball game

Who said its the best we could afford?

Who said he won't be offloaded and someone better bought in?

Was he not a premier league player when we signed him btw? )

Its actually mad looking at the transfers of the last 4/5 years how many were really poor signings. Hindsight and all that but jeez.

No, Luton had just just been relegated, he had spent their Prem season on loan at Barnsley. Was on the bench for a game early on before he went there though.

If we can afford that for a very average league 1 player, we’re ok!

They signed him in the championship then promptly got rid 😀

It all depends on how the club applies the Squad Cost Rules (SCR), the EFL have not made the detail known to the clubs as yet (not publicly anyway).

I know you amongst many others hate my lengthy posts so I'll make this as short as I can.

There is about £5m equity in the club now I reckon, so FV need to put investment into the club - under SCR it is capped at £15m per season.

Basically this equity has been covering our annual trading losses. which was last known to be £13m (the club) or £14m (FV - as the holding company), whichever the ERL applies it to.

It is reasonable to assume a similar trading loss will be made in our first season in the Championship, meaning another £15m investment is needed for the second season as well.

The problem hits in the third season as SCR only allows investment of £33m over a three year period.

The remaining £3m of equity under the SCR cap will not be enough to fund the club through that season..

That's one of the issues resulting from SCR clubs like ours will need to plan for.

Don’t worry we will back to back promotion, USA investors take over and we get back into Europe. COYWM!! It’s happening.
