Interview starts about 5 minutes in. Also said "There isn't a job that could tempt me away. This club is for me. I want to achieve everything I want to achieve in the game with this football club. It's as simple as that."  🤍

LIstening to that interview, even as someone who has done media training, I can't think of a manager who has done a better job. Unwaveringly on message, positive about everything that is happening, inclusive in his rhetoric - the man can't be faulted even by a grumpy old fucker like me.

It was pure Billy Grahamesque evangelism. And I believe.

Yeah was a tough question to deal with, surprised they asked it.

Clearly Evatt doesn’t think DJ is good enough but for media he has to come out with a positive spin “there’s always a way back into the team” etc

To be fair DJ was frozen out once and came back in ( didn’t really do much) but I’d be surprised if he played again after being frozen out twice…

Doubt any other clubs will offer him a similar wage so he probably is just sitting on his contract until he is a free agent

He's only 20, not 21 till October, so I THINK he wouldn't be counted as a number on squad rosters. So could be used, or not, in the first team squad without eating a place.

From those clips, he looks like he has the qualities and attributes we’ve been looking for; physical enforcer who also looks athletic, skilful, got a good pass on him  and will be box to box.

He'll be a B Teamer but one of a couple this year that I could see finally getting some decent playing time, at least in a few cup games or from the bench. 

Matheson, Khumbeni, Conway and possibly a forward or two.

There’s a big difference between that comment & needing some strong midfielders and a fast creative player.

Ben Andreucci looks like a cut above. Certainly has proper potential.

The fear is that if these players don’t get a chance in the first team that they’ll just walk and go somewhere else. Certainly I can’t see Matheson being happy just to be in the B Team here once he’s proved himself again.

Perhaps that's why he could be in the b team, to do just that. 

We'll find out later today,  await the moody blue lighting and the shady music.   What was wrong with a player sat in the stands with scarf above his head!

if he proves himself, he will get games
