Become a decent player has Moxon. Was Carlisle’s main man last season I think double figures for goals and assists and will be there main man this season. Scored a pearler first game of the season

also would expect him to fit in to the brief of our recruitment policy. Technically decent, good age and coming to the end of his contract..

I can't make even the faintest of comments. Quite literally never heard of him. I hope he's World class and we get him to Bolton.

But nothing in his 'pedigree' apart from an apparently vg season last year, suggests it.

On an entirely different matter, Neymar leaves PSG to sign onto the new Arab cause.

Evatt said recently nobody will ever be forced out of the door as that's not the sort of club we are, so if that tweet is true I expect Thomason to stay. And he'll go up even further in my estimations for turning down Championship football to continue his journey with us.

He reminds me, in one very particular way, of Peter Nicholson, Nicko, from the 70's & early 80's.

His position was constantly challenged, new players brought in on a conveyor belt who were always better ... but he ALWAYS rose to the challenge & always won his place back.

Imet him a few times, he pkayed cricketfor Astley Bridge. He knew his limitations & once said he wasn't even the best player in his school team. Someone, I forget who, had been in class with him from infants to O-Levels.

Thomo is a worker, a learner, a developer. Just missing a few seasons at Annan I think.

Baccus on Bolton deal collapse

St Mirren ace Keanu Baccus reckons the collapse of a summer move to Bolton Wanderers was a blessing in disguise following the Saints' superb start to the season.

The Paisley side made it two league wins out of two after defeating Dundee which followed up an opening day victory at Hibs.

Australia international Baccus eventually turned down a move to English League One side Bolton in the summer and opted to stay with St Mirren.

And he has no regrets about the decision. He said:

Agreed.

Should his progression continue here as it has, he may get a better gtlig than either of us in the not too distant future. Chance he takes I suppose, but I think it says a lot about the set up we now have.

Not sure it is. Until we've played the likes of Derby and Barnsley, I'm not convinced that we have overcome the problems against, stronger, more physical teams. 

Hopefully we have improved, but it's just too early to tell.

Certainly wouldn’t hold it against him if he chose to stay, he’d be in a small minority of current players with that type of decision making, but I think it’s a daft move by him if he turns down the opportunity.

There transfer strategy does seem like a bloke playing Championship Manager  -  I heard that the reason a lot of their new deals are over 6, 7 or 8 years is that it gives some sort of workaround to the FFP, as they actually pay the fees over a long period of time. It does though mean should they get another Winston Bogarde situation, then it'll be very, very costly for them.

With no Europe this year, I actually think Chelsea will sneak 4th place this time, and I suspect they have to get CL, or the shit will hit the fan for them

No one can assume the worst all the time. A similar injury could befall him there.

It’s a tough call for GT my mates son is good mates with GT and he loves it at our club speaks highly of IE and Dempsey who is helping him to improve his game .

I think Vic will be fine, now we seem to be playing it a bit quicker and putting some crosses in.

Indeed, but then at least he's contracted on a higher wage (presumably)

In the main, I'd have thought that most footballers would jump at the opportunity to play at a higher level, and would back themselves to be able to make it at that higher level
