Ashworth, similarly to Caleb Taylor is under contract with WBA until the end of next season. However when he signed for us it came with the option for us to sign perm. Doubt that will happen to be honest.

Unless the Swansea lad fancies signing, I'd like to see him here permanently.

Even then, he seems measured, composed and a more solid defender than the others.

Ogbeta is a freebie at the end of the season and the noise he’s been making about loving it here, Manchester lad etc etc that seems a no brainer to me. Chuck Williams then Iredale in then chances for Ashworth look slim

I think Ashworth has looked decent when he's been given the chance, definitely worth signing him as back up for next year and he's only 21 so could grow in to a decent player.
As for Ogbeta, sign him up , don't let him leave the building until he's got a contract.

I’m clearly missing something with Ashworth who for me doesn’t look a patch on Forrester down the right. Maybe at 21 he’s got chance to improve but if we go up I’d personally be looking for much better.

I think you definitely are.

I like Ashworth and would want us to sign him permanently even if it means we move Williams on, but you have to wonder whether he'd want to sign for us given his lack of game time

Both THIS

Yes I agree.  Ashworth has good quality, especially on the ball, not necessarily a top quality defender but which of our LWBs are, they rarely get tested on the wings in this league.

Championship football a different kettle of fish so pointless speculating about next season's recruits or retained list etc till we know our fate.

I was more thinking about his comments about the right and Forrester.

You’d think he’d only be of interest in league 1.

Let's hope he never plays for us then

There was an article in the BN saying we had two lists of targets depending on which league we're in

May be that he's on the L1 list

Blackpool lot reckon he's a fairweather player.

Bit like Oli Norburn. Thank christ we didn't get him btw.

Yeah from Bolton and not a white. No ta.

Clearly we will have 2 sets of transfer targets and I’m glad we are moving quick. Let’s hope it’s the championship list. If not still right to make moves

I'd like Ashworth, if he doesn’t feel messed about by us

Caleb too, another year's loan maybe. Ogbeta, who's available and Maghoma.

Obviously Johnson is due back, fit & firing & in a mood to stay.

If we go up we need at least one striker. Vic's all well & good but hardly a World beater. Dan, loan, sell or a permanent reserve.

If we're promoted we need more proven, quality, players. The infamous 'hard man in midfield' eludes us.

I'm also concerned that in tje Chamioship Santos may be challenged more.

If we go up, we need at least two strikers. Only Collins and Charles are good enough to come with us. And, to be honest, we need better finishers than Dion.

Vic is decent League 1, but that’s his level. We should command a fee for him but, maybe, not what we paid. Jerome will be another year older and has to be looking at a switch to coaching. Dan: we just need to get rid!

I’d love Maghoma if we go up but I think he’ll be on his way back to Brentford for a dip at the PL either way. None of the other 3 are good enough if we go up but maybe if we stay down they’re worth another loan.

I like Ashworth but Williams is first choice so theres no way we're bringing both him and Ogbetta back

And recent match day selections suggest Ashworth isn't coming back

As for Vic, if we get promoted I hope the Turks come back in for him
