He's a bit "enigmatic" this kid - I had a good look at him a year ago when I seem to remember there was a bit of interest then. Story is he was so young when they started calling him the next Messi it fucked up his career - and there is clearly a problem with him, maybe in his head because of the weight of expectation which no kid should have to bear.

He has the skills, pace and potentially the vision to be a top player but he just hasn't delivered yet. He has weaknesses - he is very one-footed, very lightweight and is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard when it comes to doing his bit for the defence. But going forward he is excellent and blessed with natural talent.

For me, the thing is he is still only 21. Hasn't developed physically  - not like Messi who can shrug off tackles - and he may never do, but with the right coaching and training there's a chance he could come good - I mean really good.

Brest farmed him out, so they didn't really nurture him and maybe that's what the club have in mind - taking a punt on the lad. I would but most clubs play it safe preferring tried and tested players for obvious reasons, so maybe there's an outside chance of getting him. West Ham were rumoured to be interested - previously it was Everton and Florist - but nobody seems to be willing to put in the time and effort the lad clearly needs. Maybe we will.

You can’t really get better than Dembele at this level. Some shit champs club like Derby or QPR will come in for him and outspend us

Blackpool fans loved him but for whatever reason Critchly wouldn't give him proper game time.

If you remember at the Reebok he hit the post with a pearler and then they took him off. Gave us back the impetus in midfield.

Can't remember him much at theirs. Don't ever what to think back to that day ever again. Wrecked our season and my life.

Strange like someone previously said on here about the two recent transfer targets being exposed by the local journo. It's either a strange shift in transfer policy which might sell more season tickets or achieve more TV sales but would open the door for other clubs to compete for the same players, they are already done deals and the club is giving him some kind of exclusive or it's utter bollox and a paper selling trick. Hopefully they are done deals as really like both players especially Dembele who is class in this league

Well if there is any truth in all these rumours we’re fishing in a completely different pool so let’s hope a few of them come off and we can really make a statement to our competition. It does seem strange though that after being quiet for so long, they’ve given news of possible moves in the pipe line. Let’s hope they’re done and dusted?

You have to think that these 2 are done deals if iles is putting them up as 'exclusive' .  Why would he put his neck on the line with folk and damage his relationship with the club (will alert others to move in) if he didn't actually know out.

Iirc, when the opportunity to go came up, it was mentioned that his family were around there. An added bonus if you like to taking up the contract offer.

I quite liked him as a no nonsense centre half. Bit like Ronseal.
