We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

But havent we just paid 1.2 million for another fancy dan pussy?

Like I said, just because we keep paying over the odds, why should any other team play that inflated transfer game, we have more money than sense when it comes to buying.  We supposedly turned down £1mil for Vic so what happens, we're stuck with him, if we'd taken half that it would have been great business but IE has a strange idea about player value.

It's concerning that when we sell our better players, we spend that money, plus some on inferior footballers

We've essentially spent £450k to lose our top scorer in exchange for an attacking midfielder we don't need

If true, £750K seems a good amount for me. On current form, he wouldn't get a Championship gig. At League One level, only 3 teams could probably get to this sort of sum. Brum don't need him and Wrexham either don't, or were outbid.

If the relationship has broken down (and i'll reserve judgement on casting blame), it's best to move on. Huddersfield aren't a rival of ours for the rest of this season so I don't think there's any damage there.

He's been a mard arse round the training ground for a while, so best all round.

Marc Iles article speculating (just published) is no doubt a planned softening tactic, with some sort of official announcement due in the next day or so I'd guess. Would also expect to see an incoming 'announced' to soften the blow.

Personally, not too fussed. He's our best striker, but he doesn't play, doesn't want to be here (I'm told) and so we're best cashing in whilst we can.

The thought of McAtee and Collins up front for the season petrifies me, but let's see!

IF it's true we are not serious about getting promoted. Evatt is puddled and the board are just as bad backing the loon.

Doubling and tripling down on Evatt being here for at least the medium term. If there were any serious considerations around potting him there's surely no way we'd be selling our best striker to try and make his shit football work.

Unless the board are a disorganised mess too and they've just hidden it well up to this point.

Not bothered and bothered at the same time.

not bothered down to the sitters, bothered for the goals he has scored, think he’s been a tad hard done too with being subbed when he starts and only getting 20mins when he does come on however if his attitude isn’t right time to move on.

think everyone’s emotions are high at minute anyway for rational thinking, and with a lot of angst at the manager only fuels things.

tough one

Can say that about many of them I reckon, including the manager.

If Charles hasn't requested a transfer am I right in thinking he's entitled to his contract with us be paid up?

Yes

Although that's usually a cconsiderationand included when negotiating the transfer fee

Cheers. Could mean we actually get less than 500,000 for him then, what with Accys sell on percentage too.

Hang on the manager won’t be here past the end of the season may be a lot sooner so he might play regular with the new man also the other strikers apart from Collins whose work rate is poor compared to Charles can’t score

Reading the BN: when he was crocked for a while last season, we played 14 games, and won just 5. This season he's only played 62% of the total minutes played.

A big risk flogging him, but we'd have to see who came in.

£750k doesn't seem much.

They seem more invested in Evatt than moving onwards and upwards when it's clear to all and sundry it isn't working. It's very odd and cultlike.

you know, somebody said the other week that theres lots of 'should do this, should do that' while not knowing reasons why we don't 'do this, or do that'

well, they were spot on

Yeah could be we’ve been waiting for the green light from another club before allowing Dion to go.

If this rumour is true then hopefully we have a replacement in mind.

That's a new one to me.  So if Man U sell Rashford, he's entitled to £60mil?  He's on £325k a week for about another 3.5 years.  No way surely.  All those Chelsea players on 8 year contracts, can leave and still get paid as long as they prove themselves bad enough that the manager wants rid?

Good examples as to why that IS NOT what happens.

There’s no sign Evatt is going anywhere at the moment.

And I agree the other strikers are poor in comparison. That’s why I said it petrifies me.

If a player submits a transfer request, then he foregoes any bonuses etc that he may be entitled to. Often done to facilitate a move, and may also result in a bigger signing on fee.
