Appatently clubs have been notified that Crawford & Comley are available, using the term 'up for sale'.

That seems rather late in the day with 4 days left in the window & 'sale' looks a hopeful term.

Nonetheless it sets out the intent and that they plan a couple of  new entries as well. It's being hinted that, sokd, released or whatever they won't be given a squad place.

Iles was saying on that buff podcast yesterday that evatt is after players from category 1 acadamies

Injured and never plays for them, mistake in his contract means he is payed half a million an hour, not week. Bankrupts them and they dissappear down the drain.

Don’t think we desperately need anyone but would be happy with a couple more additions if we can. No need for a mad one. Suppose this hinges on Crawford/Comley going.

Be nice to get one or two in up top given Ameachi and Baka. We were after one even with those two fit. 

It's been a summer where our signings have not been preceded by loads of speculation so I'm not discouraged by the quiet over the weekend. 

Crawford and Comley off the books would be handy and if we can get the right people in through the door we might be able to let Fonz go. 

Joe Garner signed for Fleetwood.  Wouldn't have been the worst competition for Doyle, but understand if IE is after a young player on loan that doesn't impact on the limit of senior players.

Was delighted when we signed him to a new contract last year but for whatever reason didn't work for us or at Trashmere.

Remember Crawford at Bristol Rovers before he got injured in a no mark game. He was the business. He played the quick coloured lad on the wing in time after time. Not really suited to the Evatt slow build up style. Mind not many are. That's why we don't score many if at all.
