darrener Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 What Sheffield have done is a massive piss take imo and I hope it backfires on them and we win the game Saturday, can you imagine if we'd done that to them there would have been meltdown. They should never ever be given the whole of the south stand again. Saying that I bet the ticket office knew about this in advance and said nothing Quote

Traf Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Reading that some people have trains and hotels booked for Sheffield, but no match ticket. Why? Surely if you know you're going, just buy a ticket when you book travel/accom. Quote
Ani Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Reading that some people have trains and hotels booked for Sheffield, but no match ticket. Why? Surely if you know you're going, just buy a ticket when you book travel/accom. To be fair travel and accommodation prices go up and down so book early to get best deal. Until 9:30 today there was no issue with getting match tickets. I have been waiting to see if yoof s mates who are at Uni were coming. Surprisingly they are not now. radcliffe white Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Think when they announced 4K allocation most probably thought no rush tbf Quote
Traf Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I get both of your points, but I just like to box everything off at once. Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 You tend to wait as well for everyone to confirm before buying tickets so you sit together If your a group of 10 but 2 are waiting to confirm, then you would have thought it safe to hang on Sheff Utd should have only given upper with the possibility of extra once they have been sold so everyone knew the script As has been said, could they have split the lower tier in 2? That would have been a more appropriate action rather than pulling the whole thing back IMO Quote

Biggish Dave Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I only mentioned on Saturday I couldn't believe the number of people wanting Bradford tickets on Friday night/Saturday morning. I know some folk will only have the money on the day of the game but the lack of organisation in some people is amazing. It's not just our fans i'm having a go at either - people in general are so dis-organised i'm surprised they manage to get themselves dressed Quote
Spider Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 A ticket meltdown to go and watch Liam Trotter. I love this place. Quote
darrener Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 With Bradford and Sheffield games so close together we decided to wait to save pulling out a big lump of money all at once, when there's a family of 4 it can be a bit expensive! Didn't seem to be any panic with the amount of tickets available. Quote
Piemon Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Bad do that. Never got round to getting a ticket Quote
clown Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Anyone who doesn't see this as a massive own goal is wrong. Got my two this morning by sheer luck simply because I was getting the Fleetwood ones, otherwise I would have left it until later in the week. Quote
DirtySanchez Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Who the feck checks Twitter 9:30 in the morning when it was announced espec if your working . I found out at 10:45 through checking the thread on here. Communication skills are a joke from both clubs. If the club only found out this morning then I don't see what else they could have done short of ringing people up at work If they knew beforehand then it is piss poor Quote
famouswanderer Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 If the club only found out this morning then I don't see what else they could have done short of ringing people up at work If they knew beforehand then it is piss poor Surely BWFC have to agree to it? Im probably wrong Quote
Casino Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 my guess would be, bwfc can keep them but would have to pay for them once we sold one of them, sheff wouldnt be able to take any back Quote
Casino Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 and we were lucky as i only got them last night to see if i could master the online Quote
Boothy Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Surely BWFC have to agree to it? Im probably wrong The earlier article did say that Sheffield 'requested' the tickets to be returned. Wouldn't we have had to foot the bill for any unsold tickets on our allocation? Since we only pocket 5% of advanced ticket sales, I don't think BWFC can risk the £20k or so it would have cost if we didn't shift the last 1000, based on people expecting us to sell 3000. I could be talking out my arse here as well.... Quote
gonzo Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Has Gary Madine accepted full responsibility yet? Quote
radcliffe white Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 The only problem I see here is the short notice withdrawal from Sheffield which is wrong, but really can't see an issue Quote
Wullie Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) You can buy tickets for the bramall lane lower, which is the bit we were going to get, my sheffield mate is going down there to get us a few Edited February 20, 2017 by Wullie Quote

radcliffe white Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 You don't see an issue, but you do see a problem?????Doesn't make sense, what I mean is that apart from the short notice or none they are well with in their rights as ticket sales have been slow Quote
